Puppy

Yesterday (Feb 4, 2009) my dog was admitted into the animal hospital with 107 degree fever. He has an old man growth (he''s 15) on his neck, and it ruptured and an infection quickly spread. He''s still in the hospital and undergoing tests and I''m keeping my fingers crossed that he''s going to be ok, one way or another. I would really appreciate some magic PS dust for him, because I''m pretty worried about him.

BTW, this all occurred on the two month anniversary of my mom''s passing, so it''s been incredibly traumatic for me. Luckily he''s in amazing shape for a dog his age, but an infection is never good. Please keep us in your thoughts. Thank you.

I''m so sorry Freke.

A couple of years ago, my then 11 year old dog suddenly came down with a 105 degree fever. The emergency vet said there was virtually nothing they could do, it was less than 50-50 chance of survival. My guy pulled through, but these high fevers are generally not survivable. Your guy had 15 great years with you. I''m sorry the timing is so bad, but I know you did everything you could and that he loved you. Take care.
