Just purchased this 1.29 G, VS 1 triple ex HPHT RB with faint blue fluoro! It has almost all the specifications I want and lab diamonds always have a brown hue to me (even my colorless), so I’m curious how I will feel about faint blue. Even if I absolutely detest it, I got it for $1254 including the classic six prong white gold setting. Can’t be too upset about the quality for the price, and I’m hoping to use this as my daily wear until I can do the dream upgrade in a couple of years. 77CAF702-DF90-4557-8681-49C7530A0432.png

Hi, Runningmama!
Just wanted to point out that the grading report states that this diamond has "faint blue" hue (Type IIb) with no fluorescence. It will likely have an orange to red phosphorescence.

Sorry, I meant faint blue nuance! I was so tired when I posted that. I’m about to head in for my tenth straight work day. From the research I did, that would only matter if I took a UV light to it (not natural sunlight). In regular lighting, it may have a faint hue and in certain settings look steely? I’m so curious about the undertones as I always see brown/yellow undertones in diamonds no matter how white they are.

No worries...I know that feeling all too well!
Hope to see lots of pictures of it once you get it!

Received my reset ring today. I have to say, I’ll probably buy loose stones from AOJ in the future, but I won’t buy another setting. You can see it’s clearly too large for the stone. The crown is too tall and pretty bulky. The stone itself is beautiful. The crown angle proportions are exactly what I wanted as the stone gives huge flashes of fire and I still get plenty of sparkle. It shows faint blue in low light and none in bright. I love it so much and it is a great placeholder for my dream stone!

Wow, that is set really high.
Will they lower it for you, at all?
Your diamond is beautiful!

Thank you! It’s too high and looks a bit ridiculous and disproportionate from the side.
I’m honestly not even bothering to ask at this point. Their QC for settings isn’t great as y’all can see by now and I’m afraid to see what a round 3 would bring. They do have an upgrade policy and their customer service is great so we will see what next year holds.

Well, I mean, people will fear getting walloped by you!
