BGD''s three stones look beautiful! I can''t wait to see how it all looks with your Dream band to top it all off! Leon''s not my cup of tea either

... I actually mentioned to someone that if I ever wanted a Leon I''d pay extra to have another PS vendor broker the transaction for me so I wouldn''t have to deal with him directly. I meant it too.

Bwahhaaa... I think I should start a new business!

ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

DD-YAY for three stones, stick with what you love and don''t get distracted by all the gorgeous PS bling:-) Maybe you could halo your sapphire someday as a RHR

I am very excited. Gotta save my pennies. I''m half way there!

I ultrasonic and steam my novo several times a week. Seems to be doing fine. If only I could stop whacking my hand into things!

Yay Dreamer. I really do think trying rings on and seeing how you feel about them in person is just so important and your experience is the perfect example of that. Your ring will be fabulous and with your dream band you will have a dream set!!

I do baby my ring some, but I wear mine all the time. The only times I''ve had a melee diamond fall out was when I first got it and then again, when I had my ring cleaned by someone that wasn''t my jeweler. But my jeweler always went ahead and fixed it for me. I''ll definitely only be going to my jeweler from now on!

I was just about to chime in with my pro pave speech, but I read you have made your decision!!!

I have a micropave halo cushion for my e ring and now I am getting a 3 stone right hand ring!

what about a 3 stone with pave

Chiming in late here but in case you do halo your sapphire... my sapphire is in a ritani halo and i am so pleased with the quality. I wear it almost every day and so far, so good. I''ve had it about a year and a half. I do take it off for anything rough. Once or twice I''ve worn it to the gym (forgot to take it off beforehand) and I''ve just been extra careful with it there, and no problems. I don''t put it in the ultrasonic. They have a great warranty so if anything went wrong, i don''t expect any hassles.

On the other hand, I have a small family diamond in a 3 stone ring (with 2 sapphires). It''s sort of a shared prong style, stock setting, and not a perfect fit apparently. It comes loose pretty often so I rarely wear it! I know you;ll have someone good make your 3 stone, so you won;t have to worry. I just find it ironic that my 3 stone is the one that is always coming loose while my micropave is fine! I;d like to reset my 3 stone into something higher quality, but with metal prices so high, it''s really not a priority.

can''t wait to see your ultimate setting!

You are evil. Actually this is my absolute dream ring with diamond side stones. I tried on a three-stone pave halo type ring and wowee zowee the finger coverage was AWESOME!! But it just seemed so formal for everyday wear. Or maybe I just need to dress up more

TDM thank you for your 2c. I think honestly before I make up my mind for good I need to see a Ritani in person. Everything I hear is that there is no comparison for the delicacy. maybe Pearlman''s will send me a sample? Cross borders though sounds tricky. There are no dealers in my area.

My rings have pave in them and I do ultrasound them (not as often as I should!) and do not think I 'baby' them by any means, but at the same time I let my comfort be my guide mostly so that limits the heavy duty usage, ie. i don't wear them at the gym or while doing home repair or that kind of thing. They are uncomfortable if I am really using my hands lifting weights or something. Also I do not wear them sleeping, but again that is for my comfort as my finger swells uncomfortably at night with a ring on. Probably the things I do most regularly that put pressure on the rings are carry heavy groceries and pull/carry luggage. Also I whack them regularly in daily life as I am not the most coordinated/graceful person. But they are Michael B, and he has a rep for making fairly durable pave, so that was part of my decision making. I don't want to have to take my rings in for yearly repair or have to actively try not to use my hands while wearing them, but was willing to deal with a stone falling out once or twice over years and years of wear (which I think you have to be prepared for with pave but I am glad to have been spared this burden thus far.)

Basically, buy quality work from someone reputable for their pave, and be realistic about what you will be putting your rings through and how annoyed you will be at having to repair them. And if the stars line up, go for it! Life is too short ;)
