oh wow....glad to hear that the boys are ok.

Burk--
*hugs* hoping tonight is better for you and babes.

Jas12--
Yay for the smooth paci-weaning.
So how''s Co on the PT front?
Not much progress on our end

TGal, Burk, Snlee--
I will try to keep you guys updated on the TTC.
Sometimes I just feel weird about the me-centric post.

lili - I miss hearing updates about J and you, so post more "me-centric" posts.

me too!!! post more about J..i miss her stories. and i miss hearing about you too lili!!

Lili--you *never* talk about yourself, and you are always so great at responding to other ppl''s posts, so heck, post about whatever you want and fill us in!
Just curious, b/c of the STTN thread started by DD. When did J start? i remember she was a tricky one. Or does she still wake in the night?
Potty training--well, it''s interesting, he goes thru stages where he is good about asking and going, and then a week when he downright refuses to use it. I don''t force him b/c he''s been slow to develop in some areas and my grama said my uncle did the same thing and it got worse when she tried to force him. One day he just decided against the diapers. I hope that happens. We just started him in pull-ups so i am going to see if that makes a difference, sometimes i think b/c he is so involved in play right now, he hates to stop what he''s doing to go potty. Maybe if he''s wet/uncomfortable he''ll be more inclined. He def. knows how/when to go, it''s getting him to do it consistently that is the problem...

Burk--oh you poor thing, i wish i could help out. I almost didn''t read your post-lol-. But figured, best to be prepared for the chaos i face in 10 weeks!!! Did you get rest last night? How''s the house sale going? Will DH be around to help you this w/e ??

Jas--oh goodness, glad the boys are okay!!!!

Puffy--can''t believe Noah is sleeping so well (most BF babies don''t!). You got so lucky and have 2 angel babies eh? Is there a secret? I want it
2.gif

Speaking of sleep, i am already huge and uncomfortable and haven''t quite hit 30 weeks yet. I was so grumpy this morn when i realized i can kiss sleep goodbye for the better part of a year (assuming i can get kiddo #2 STTN by 6 mos like Co).
Co was very tired this morn. He went down perfectly with no paci again last night, but when he wakes it takes him much, much longer to go back down on his own & it wakes me up, whereas it never did before (i figured as much, jsut part of the adjustment). Overall tho, he''s been great. I have such an easy kiddo, i can''t complain

Agreed! More more more! You you you!

jas12 yes, i am extremely lucky that both B and N started STTN so young. since N started to do it at 7 weeks, he''s been continuing STTN which i am grateful for. if all babies i give birth to were going to be such great sleepers and as easy as N, i would have no problem having another one, but don''t tell my DH. he''s already asking when we can ''try'' for another!! crazy guy!!

burk hope last night was better for you.

1 more week til vegas, i am so excited!

have a wonderful weekend mommies!!

Yes!

Puffy~If my milk was having a hard time regulating due to no night time feedings I think I''d be less pissed!
3.gif
I wear at least 2 bras to work out as well. I have a love/hate relationship with BFing. Ha. Oh, and I think you''re absolutely nuts to be even thinking about a third although you have such easy kids I wonder if that would change my thinking too. I know eventually I''ll want a third but right now I can''t even imagine!

lili~Please do keep us posted. We all love to hear about you and J! Oh, and re: potty training T is in the exact same stage as Co....only goes when SHE wants to. She''s kind of a diva so I''m not surprised and not pushing it. Sometimes it''s easier to have her in diapers anyway!
16.gif

Jas12~That''s why I put the warning there!
3.gif
Last night was much better and DH is around today and the rest of the weekend so hopefully I''ll get a nap in sometime. House sale is actually going really well (aside from the fact that I have to keep the house spotless and find a place to go for and hour plus while it''s being showed like every other day). It was showed yesterday and our agent thinks we''ll get an offer from them but it is being showed again here in a half hour to a couple that already looked so hopefully something will pan out. Yay for Co and the weaning of the paci...hope I have it that easy. Oh, and have you guys put your house on the market or are you planning to rent it when you move?

Thanks everyone for the kind words about my terrible night. Much better night last night. K slept in his bed without the stupid wake-ups to be soothed-only woke to eat and went almost 5 hours and then 3 and 3 so I can''t complain. Oh, and T did not wake. She''s def. feeling better. Thank goodness. K''s reflux is bad today (as in I''ve changed my outfit 3 times and his twice) so we''ll see if tonight is a repeat of the night from h***!
40.gif
Happy Friday all!

We got an offer on our house!! It was a pretty solid offer so we countered and should know tomorrow!
36.gif

Now, need to figure out where we''re going to live until our new house is done!

Congrats Burk, that''s great news. You are going to be a busy mommy!

Agree with all the ladies..you are the least me-centric poster---you always take such care to comment individually to the rest of us.

I''d love to hear lots more about J and yourself as well--hope you''re doing ok :).

lili, I TOTALLY agree with the others that you need more "me-centric" posts. In fact, I demand it!

Jas12, wow, 30 weeks already...time is flying! Glad to hear he is doing well on the paci front...he''ll be fully adapted in no time.

Burk, hooray on the offer! That is great news.

I''m back from the Half Moon Bay Ritz. It was awesome...we had gorgeous weather the entire time, which was lucky. Got a massage and spent a good bit of time relaxing in the Club Lounge with my friend and just chatting. Spent a day on the course too (although I was just along for the ride) and had fun taking photos. Amelia did great with my mom, and it took me some time to realize: oh yeah...I have a daughter. Amelia who?
3.gif

TGuy and I have decided we will not attempt potty training until Amelia is 2.5 years old. Mostly because we are going to Hawaii in Sept and don''t want to deal with bathrooms while traveling if we don''t have to. Amelia isn''t interested anyway. She''s still totally still a stealth pooper/pee''er.

She turns two this week...everything is booked for her party and her Aussie grandparents fly in tomorrow.
36.gif

Thanks Janine and Tgal! House is sold!
36.gif
Signed papers today.

Tgal~Yay for a relaxing time away. Sounds amazing. DH and I have been talking about planning a trip for the two of us. I need it. I can''t believe A is TWO this week! So exciting and her party is going to be amazing! Can''t wait to see the pics.

Time to take that trip!!

Burk, congrats! That''s great news! Where do you plan to live in between?

TGal, glad you enjoyed your trip! It''s good to get a break sometimes.

burk YAY CONGRATS!!!!

burk - congrats on the house offer!

Tgal - the trip counds amazing, and Hawaii is going to be a blast!

We let Kyle loose in the play area at the mall for the first time on Friday. In the first minute a bigger kid pushed him over, and he almost got run over at the end of a slide (which the kid at the top looked down at him standing there, and slid down anyway!). Maybe I''ll wait a few more months before I try that again
14.gif
.

Burk--YAY! i hope they accept the counter. Best of luck. keep us posted. You are going to be busy with the move, but we can complain together (see my post below
5.gif
)

Tgal--so happy you had a great trip! Just a couple days till A''s party! Wow, has it really been 2 whole years since you were baking that cake for the nurses???!!!
I get this nostalgic feeling when i think back to our DDs at that time 2 yrs ago. It was so exciting reading your posts b/c i was sitting there anxiously awaiting my labor too. Didn''t you go for Inn and Out burger and a walk in the hills (i always picture that even tho i''ve never been to either place)
I''d wait on PTing too. A few extra months in the grand scheme of things is nothing. And i bet she''ll be pretty good about it.

MrsS--what are you doing for jake''s b-day ?

How is the rest of the gang?

i am in home building hormonal hell over here. If i have to look at another paint sample and try to match it to something i am going to scream. I am not great with decisions on a good day (i second guess everything) and now i am forced to make oh, maybe 5-6 minor or major decisions every day (today''s sampling: how wide should the hand rail on the stairs be? What sized pickets? Should the deck be 14 or 16 feet wide? Stairs off side or back? Pot light placement in kitchen goes where? Do the cross lines on the coffered ceiling match or have differing heights? What thickness of chair rail do i want in the great room?) No kidding, i was bombarded with this over breakfast.
Anyway, why am i complaning? Just pregnant and easily annoyed i guess
5.gif
Middie said that my nesting instinct and visibly incomplete nest is not a good combo for the hormones. agreed.
i have impeccable timing for making my life as complicated as possible
3.gif

jas12: i can sympathize and we're only at the kitchen stage (we will soon have to decide paint, light fixtures, new doors, siding color, bathroom everything..and all other unknowns I'm soon to discover once digging starts!). Can you leave most decisions to DH? If I were preggo I think I'd start having heat flashes or something from all the decisions! the good news is that once it's over you'll be v. happy!

tgal: sounds like an amazing weekend!

not much new here--my little baby is 18 months old today! Catching up with all the 2 year olds (haha). She counts to 10 now, it's so cute b/c it's a chance to hear a *bit* of the speaking voice. Sure she leaves out 5 most of the time and seven sounds like a jumble, but it's still so cute! She's very proud and is constantly pointing out numbers..supermarket is a lot of fun! Especially since she also thinks most red fruits/veggies are apples! She can manage A, B, C of the alphabet too so I think TV and blinking toys are at least teaching something. Other than that just looking forward to Easter, but not the IL drama that usually comes along with holidays--hoping we escape it this year..driving there and back is enough of a challenge!

burk-congrats on selling the house. that is great news.

tgal-glad you had a great weekend. oh the thought of a massage and a few days sans kids.....a girl can dream....

ja12-We''re just having a family party at our house. My oldest is turns 8 a week after Jake''s b-day and we''re doing a big party for her this year. I figure Jake won''t really care or now the difference. he''ll probably think both parties are for him and just be happy playing with balloons
41.gif

Are you doing anything for Co? You never found out the sex of the new baby right? I can''t believe how quickly time flies and how soon he/she will be here.

I started my new job which has been frontloaded with a ton of trainings to get all my certifications current. all day sat. and every night this week. it''s rare that I will have this type of schedule and I''m grateful for the job but I''m going to miss my girls b/c I have to leave before they get home from school and won''t be home until after they are in bed. after this week I''ll be all set though and will even be able to do some work from home which is going to be a huge plus, especially once summer is her and the kids are all out of school.

hope all the mommies are doing well.

Burk - Congrats on selling the house. Where can you live in-between?
Sorry about the rough nights and reflux. So what did the doctor say since you already cut out corns and dairy?

Puffy - Can't believe your DH is ready for another kid already. When people jokingly ask when we'll have another kid, DH quickly waved no with his hands along with a "no more".
Oh and to answer your question about diapers and daycare, the daycare we want to put M in doesn't require the kid to be potty-trained (not even the preschool/kinder class). We talked it over and decide to put her in at 2.5 yrs old instead when she'll be in the preschool/kinder class.
Have fun in Vegas.

Tgal - sounds like you had a relaxing weekend.
Make sense to wait until after the vacation before potty training.
Take lots of pictures at the party. Is Amelia excited?

Jas12 - Yay. Good job with the paci weaning. I want to wean M, but she'll probably just take J's paci.
So sorry you are not sleeping well, and home building is causing stress. Hope you find time to relax.

MG - Yikes. The play area in our mall is so crowded that we've never let M play there, but I am equally worried that M will push or hit another kid. M is pretty rough since she plays daily with our 5 yrs old nephew.

janine - Yay for Chloe counting and Happy 18 months to her. She has M beat with numbers.

MrsS - Boo on all the training and missing the girls. But at least it's temporary.

We are not pushing M to be potty trained. I just ask her if she needs to go, so she can get used to the idea. The weird/funny thing is that she will tell me that she is pooping by putting her hand on her butt, but she never tell me she needs to pee. I have to ask about pee.

J is doing one 6 hrs stretch, then two 3 hrs stretches of sleep. Not bad.

hi mommies!!!

mrsS that IS a lot of training!! but good thing it''s temporary

jas12 sorry you''re annoyed with all these decisions.

burk hope K keeps up with the long stretch of sleep. how is T doing?

qt yay for a long stretch...keep it up J!! so your MIL will watch M until 2.5 years? you''ve got plenty of time to PT, she''s still so young.

i am super excited...my LM reset will be here tomorrow!!! and my uternity band should be ready for pick up on wednesday! gotta get dinner ready then start the madness known as packing for 2 kids and myself...not fun!

take care mommies!!

qt-I love your new profile pic!!! what cuties you have there.

puffy-yay for your new LM ring. you''ll have to post pictures as soon as you can. good luck packing! I know firsthand how "fun" it is when packing for more than just yourself...

MrsS--i am just doing a family party too. I feel a bit guilty (my kid doesn''t have many friends his age so his best ''friends'' are family).
Just balloons, BBQ, cake with about 15 family members. It will be at my MIL''s b/c charlie and I have too much on the go right now.
Sounds like work is super busy, but it''s exciting. I am sure like you said, once training is done things will be less hectic.

Puffy--post pics of the ring! :)

QT--Sounds like J is sleeping pretty good. At least you get the 6 hr stretch. I wouldn''t push PTing with a newborn either. Wait until you can devote more time to it.

Did anyone measure small for their dates when they were preggo? I am measuring 26 weeks (but i am 30). Middie says it could be a few things that don''t signify any problems and she''ll re-measure in 2 weeks, but of course, i worry just a bit
5.gif

lili, how are you doing?

puffy, have a wonderful time in Vegas! Can''t wait to see your LM reset and your uternity band.

Burk, congrats! When will the new house be ready?

Tgal, your trip sounds relaxing, can''t wait to see pics of Amelia''s birthday party.

MG, the play area at the mall always frighten me. I seen my nephew got pushed down from the slide by some older kids at the play area.

Jas12, did they measure by ultrasound?

Hello gals!

in-laws have landed from Oz and are out getting breakfast with TGuy and the kid. Ahhhhhhhhhh quiet, I love it.
5.gif
I''ll be on an airmattress for the next couple of weeks and am sad to kiss my comfy bed good bye!

Amelia has taken to them very easily. It helps that for the past month I''ve been pointing out their pictures so they don''t look like strangers.

Anyhoo, playing hostess has begun. Now I get to figure out how to feed everyone daily for the next few weeks...I can barely figure out how to feed myself!
32.gif

Janine, Chloe sounds like she is doing great! She still looks so petite (I guess everyone is compared to my amazon child), I forget that she''s growing up fast!

MG, geez...doesn''t it make you want to hole your kid up forever? Gotta love the "big kids."
20.gif

Jas12, I know we went for a walk when I went into labor but I don''t think we went to in and out. Not sure. I remember I ate a piece of cake and blamed it for all the craziness that happened after. I don''t think I ate a ton as I was hoping for vaginal delivery and didn''t want to deliver a little extra, if you know what I mean.

Hormones are scary business, for sure. Having been pregnant (and realizing that I was a bit wacky) makes me fear menopause!

MrsS, that sounds like a lot of work! But the payoff sounds like it''s not too far away. You''re right, Jake will be happy with all these parties! They don''t really know what''s up at two anyway.

QT, wow, J is doing really well! Sounds like you got everyone under control and the family is happy. I love the new Av, but the M funny face one is still my all time fav PS avatar. Just thinking about it cracks me up.

Puffy, be sure to post pics!!

Bobo, hop you are doing well? little B is too cute in your av.

---

Oh, so I wanted to show you if you haven''t seen it already...have you seen the article on MSNBC about mommies "passing" cavities to their little ones?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35989527/ns/health-oral_health/

Look at the photo in the article...that''s a TWO year old''s mouth! I didn''t know teeth could get that bad at such a young age. And I''m apparently a terrible mother because I kiss Amelia on the lips.
15.gif
Amelia appears to have my teeth (at least in bucky shape and massive overbite) but I am praying she has her father''s bulletproof teeth.

How many times are you brushing your kid''s teeth a day now?

OOOOOPS Wrong thread!!!!!!

Sorry mamas, no idea how I ended up here!!! (and I don't know how to delete the pic!!!)

weretwins2.jpg

Thanks TGal, I''m doing ok, little B is sick and I think I caught what ever that he have and just trying to survive each day since my co-worker is out for a month long vacation. Why are you on a air mattress? in-laws took over ur bed?

DH is super crazy with brushing little B''s teeth now after I scared him with your friend''s kid story. I''m a bad mom too, I kiss little B on his lips all the time and he always want what I''m eating so we share food...I need to take him to a dentist.

Mandarine, your twins are so cute! are they identical twins?
