Home PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

MSB, what a great way of telling your DH! Your story had me smiling from ear to ear. That''s great. TTC without the pressure. I am so happy for you!

JANINE, yay for C walking! That''s awesome! D is officially the last walker of the Sept babies but it''s fine. I''m in no rush! He''s already getting into so much!!! I didn''t walk until 16 months so maybe he''ll be like me. I hope she''s feeling a lot better today.

PUFFY, hope B had fun trick or treating! I would love to see him in his costumes.

CURLY, can''t wait to see the pics!

QT, oh no! I''m so sorry to hear M has pneumonia. Poor M. Hope she feels better soon!

Curly: Thank you
9.gif
. I''m doing well, but feel queasy on certain days..i''ve got my first doctors appointment on Thursday and can''t wait to check the little bean out..

QT: so sorry to hear that M has got pneumonia
39.gif
! I hope it doesn''t get worse
7.gif

Snlee: Thanks!

Janine - Yep, I moved! DH and I just bought a house and we closed on October 30!

MSB - Congrats!!
36.gif

QT- Awwwww, poor M!
15.gif
I hope she''s feeling better soon!

DH and I got moved into our new house this weekend and so far so good. We still have a few odds and ends at his parents'' house but nothing major. Whew! Talk about a lot of work. My body hurts so bad! Our cable/internet/phone won''t be hooked up until tonite so I''ll be lurking today from work since the boss is out and I''m pretty caught up with things at the office.

James is 16 months old today
6.gif
. He is sooo busy these days. Into everything and he''s very interested in electronic and mechanical things. He was going to be Yoda for halloween, but we didn''t make it out because of the move. My mom and sister watched him that day and when we got there to pick him up he was napping and we didn''t want to wake him and have a cranky baby. DH was disappointed since he loves halloween but at least James is so young that he won''t remember that we skipped a year

QT: Oh no! Poor M, what an ordeal. And what a trooper to still try on her costume! The ER is the worst, I hope she is feeling better today?

Snlee: hi! Well C has taken 3-4 steps (very cautiously and sometimes only after alot of urging), but can''t say she''s quite walking yet. She still prefers crawling or walking with me holding her hands (bad for the back!). I bet D will be walking soon, he is really the cutest little boy (yay for FB pics!).

C''s fever lasted 24 hours and slept most of the day (barely ate) on Halloween. She had a constant runny nose. She would also just cry and cry and point at her cheeks. After her big 4hr nap, she seemed much better..but I still gave tyleonol so she''d have a full night''s sleep. She woke up back to normal! Crazy..I think maybe it was a slight cold combined with teething. Can''t think why else she''d be writhing in pain and pointing at cheeks. The runny nose/fever was throwing me off though. Sick baby is not fun! I hope M gets better soon!

Congrats diva, that''s great!!

I am so behind. We had such a busy weekend with halloween, T''s b-day party and my mom being in town. In the end I did take her to the playdate. My dad actually encouraged it saying it was like the chicken pox. Better she gets it now than later. Also the mom confirmed it had actually been two weeks and since it is not usually contagious after that I decided to risk it. She had a BLAST. She didn''t want to leave him house which is amazing b/c she usually always wants to go home after a short amount of time. I did feel kinda bad b/c there was this two year old boy that obviously liked her. He kept picking on her, taking away a toy she was playing with to get her attention. Then in the bounce house he kept tackling her and then could try to kiss and hug her. It was a little strange to say the least and T was NOT happy. It rained on halloween but we did go on a neighborhood hay ride and went to one house before we called it quits. Her party was so much fun. She was the queen for the day and loved all of the attention. I posted pics on FB.

I am taking the GRE on Friday so I expect this to be a busy week as well. I cannot wait for it to be over. I will probably be asking for dust later this week since PS dust seems to work for so many people.

MSB, congrats girl! I am so excited for you!

Q, sorry to hear M is sick! Hope she feels better soon.

Diva, yay on the new house!

Janine, sorry so hear C is sick. Yay for the first few steps!

That''s all for now. I will try to catch up later!

QT--hope M is feeling better , poor thing---this is such a bad time to go to the ER isn''t it? Waits are soooo long in our city as well due to paranoid ppl flocking to the hospital over H1N1 concerns

Lili--yes, everyone knows i am pregnant. I had to tell the inlaws right away b/c my MIL is over at 7 each morning and she would have noticed my sickness and wondered
14.gif
. And i told my grandmother to cheer her up (she''s in the hospital) and that was a big mistake. They run a very busy restaurant and know half the city so the word spread instantly. Not how i wanted things, but it''s done. I just have to hope for the best now.

Tacori--best of luck on the test this week!

Hope everyone had a fun halloween weekend! The pictures were great!

Thanks Jas12.

If anyone wants to do a zoo/animal party I listed my goodie bag contents on my page as well and more details. I will have to take a picture b/c I thought they were really cute and we have extras. I also forgot to take a picture of the food. We made PB&J sandwiches which we used animal cookie cutters to cute out and the same ham & cheese (such a hit) sandwiches (using pie crust) as last year and again used animal cookie cutters to cut out. We also made a few calzone snakes using black olives for the eyes. The rest was normal party food.

Good Luck Tacori!! I don''t know how you find the time :).

I do like the sounds of an animal theme party..maybe next year I''ll be checking your page!

Burk--
Haha....that''s too funny and cute. And I have to say that I''m amazed she can run w/ those humongous wings!
So did she just go through the night of Halloween as the bright light bulb that lights up the room w/ her gorgeous smile? :D

Don''t worry about PT. You still have a good 3-4 months.
Maybe once baby comes, she''ll realized that diapers are for babies and insist on wearing her big girl pants.
You know what''s frustrating for me?
J insists on wearing her pullups and went #2 in them.
Not something I enjoy changing.

Yup, that girl is all about eating out.
She loves Sizzler of all places. Eats practically everything we put on her plate.
She even insisted on eating the parsley on my plate :P

Janine--
Yay for those first steps!
Boo on the runny nose and fever.
I''m wondering if there is some sort of one day fever bug going on.
J had a fever last week too...but broke after a day.
The caretakers told us that there were a few kids in her class who were out too w/ a one-day fever.
Anyway, hope she''s feeling better.

Puffy--
Haha....pretty soon, you don''t have to add up the numbers for him.
Can''t believe your second one is going to be here in less than 2 months.
Did B enjoy his ToTing?
Any chance we get to see pictures of B in Disney and on Halloween?

QT--
Oh no....hope M is feeling better.
Poor little thing.

Haha...I do have the potty pictures on FB.

Snlee--
Yep, D will be walking and running before you know it.
I find that those who walk later actually takes off faster.
It''s like they are waiting until they have perfected their skills to really show it off.

Diva--
36.gif
36.gif
and congrats on the house.

Tacori--
Oo....good luck w/ the GRE.
Hmmm....that''s good to know about the hands, mouth, and foot thing.

Ok, going to FB to check out some pictures.

Jas12--
Well...you are 2/3 done w/ first trimester.
Looking good. How''s the ms? Is it subsiding a bit?

msb before you know it, you''ll e about ready to deliver too. time just flew by with this pregnancy. how are you feeling so far?

curly the girls sounds adorable in their halloween costumes.

qt disneyland was AWESOME, esp trick or treating at ca adventure, but a bit crowded. DH wants to go back next year for halloween as well, but we''ll have to see. i''m feeling ok, not that bad, but not wonderful. some days are better than others. i really didn''t have too many complaints this time around other than being tired, but now, i am in pain at times, but i guess it''s all a part of it. hope M is doing better!! poor girl.

snlee did D have a good time on halloween? and you are so right...enjoy this time before D learns to walk. you think he gets into things now, just you wait!!

diva happy 16 months to james!! glad the move is going well.

tacori good luck on the GRE!! sounds like T had a great bday party. those cuppies..YUMMY!!! nice work!

lili OMG, J is so funny...Sizzler?!?! haha!! oh did B ever enjoy getting tons of candy which he gave all to his mother!! i taught that boy well!! haha. he loved all the kids, the houses, the decorations, the saying "trick or treat." he loved everything about it. when we got home, i kicked off my shoes and had my feet up and he came running over and started feeding me candy. haha!! i kept telling him no more, but he kept putting it in my mouth. maybe he was hoping that i wouldn''t want it and would give it to him instead. but i gave him a few fruit snacks.

i will try to find a good pic of B at disneyland and halloween and post them.
hope everyone is having a great day.

oops...hit submit too many times...

last one, sorry.

Puffy--
haha, or he''s feeding it to his brother too :)
that''s too cute. We let J eat some of her treats too.
Some neighbors were really nice and gave out gummy snacks instead of chocolate and hard candies to babies.
Of course, daddy and her cousins helped her eat most of it.
J only whispered "tick or treat" after we got the treats and started leaving the porch
20.gif

Hopefully next year, she''ll be brave enough and say it loud and clear when people opened the door instead of closed it.

Haha, you totally can afford to eat B''s loot.
Can''t believe you only gained 12 lbs.
At this rate, you''ll be back to your pre-preggo, if not less, immediately after your delivery.

Thanks for all the get well wishes. I hope she gets better soon too. I made an appointment with her pedi for follow-up tomorrow.

Tacori--i will have to get the zoo party details from you--a friend of mine is doing a similar party (favourite animals or something like that) for her 4 year old and was asking me for ideas (which i had few ) i''ll have to give her the cookie-cutter idea for sandwiches that is so cute! i sometimes make things into stars for co (or for a party) but have never tried an animal. I am assuming they keep their shape well?

Lili--yep, 3.5 weeks until i am thru the first tri. I am still sick so everything must be movin and grovin in there.

Diva--yoda is such an adorable halloween costume. You are right, they are too young to really care right now, but next year will be fun! Hope you are settled in the new place

....

Co is really into hiding and climbing now--he wants to sit on the adult chairs and eat his snacks under the tables. I find myself chasing after him on all fours or trying to pry him out from under something --sheesh. He''s also making clear choices now which is a nice development. I can ask him things like do you want to do groceries first or go see grandma and he''ll answer. I''ve been trying to encourage this when it comes to things he doesn''t want to do like "i know you don''t want to get dressed but you have to, so would you like to put on socks first or your shirt?" it seems to nip any resistance in the bud. For now--haha.

I am soooo over my morning sickness. Makes the days so long and it''s so hard to enjoy my afternoons with Co. I usually can''t wait for him to be in bed so i can just veg
15.gif

janine~Thanks for the sympathy. I think my heart just wasn''t into actually doing the mommy side of the work if I''m being honest!
16.gif
It will all work out.

puffy~She has all of the classic signs of being ready....just not the attitude!
3.gif
I''m sure we''ll get there and if it''s not before the new baby so be it. Hope B had fun as Elmo....can''t wait to see pics. T LOVES Elmo.

msb~It''s so weird how it doesn''t really seem like you''re actually pregnant for so long! So happy for you and hoping that you don''t have any pregnant "reminders" like MS!!
9.gif
2.gif

QT~So sorry poor M has been sick. T has had pneumonia 3 times and it is no fun!!!
7.gif
Hope she''s feeling better!

Diva~Congrats on the move! Hope you''re enjoying your new house!!

Tacori~Sounds like such a fun week! Can you believe Tessa is two?!?!?! Has she had her 2 year appt yet? Good luck with the upcoming GRE! I''m sure you''ll do great!!

lili~Oh yea, running and trying to "flap" those huge things! Weirdo. I''m sure the PT will all happen in good time. She totally "gets it" but just chooses not to. She can''t choose not to forever! :) T has the Dora pull-ups as well. She''s rather have her Mickey Mouse diapers on, though!
20.gif
Too funny about J loving to eat at Sizzler! She makes me laugh!

Jas12~Sorry you''re still feeling crappy. I can totally relate! T is all about climbing too and it''s become rather annoying now that I have a belly in the way to pick her up! There were mornings this summer where I could barely muster up the energy to get off the couch to make her lunch.
7.gif

Nothing new here. Just super busy with our big final tournament for volleyball tomorrow and grades due. T is doing great. Back to daycare routine this week as I headed back to school and she was practically pushing me out the door when I dropped her off!
20.gif

Thanks lili, Janiegirly & puffy, little B is doing better, his fever broke on sunday afternoon and now just have some cough.

QT, so sorry to hear M have pneumonia, hope she will get better soon. Hope you get some rest too.

Janinegirly, glad to hear C is better.

Tacori, good luck with the GRE!

puffy, how sweet of B feeding you candy, can''t wait to see the pic.

Jas12, hope the morning sickness will go away soon.

Burk, How funny of Tayva pushing u out the door, the mental image just cracks me up, she must really love going to daycare.

DH and I are both sick from whatever that little B had, I guess one need to pass on the virus to get better..

35.gif
Thanks for all of the congratulations! We''re getting settled in slowly but surely. The upstairs is practically all put together but the basement (aka the Man Cave) needs some work. DH has tons of DVDs and CDs that we need to get shelving for and that is the vast majority of the mess down there. James loves his new space although he''s having a hard time adjusting to the time change. He''s been getting up at 5:30 instead of his usual 6:30 or later
14.gif
We''re loosening up on his nighttime schedule to get him in bed a tad later to see if that helps him sleep a bit longer in the a.m.

Janine - I hope that C is feeling better soon! James gets like that when he''s teething. Sometimes he''ll get a bit of a fever and a runny nose. He gets mild diaper rash too. It makes me feel so bad for him.

Jas12 - Hope your ms goes away soon! I still remember that part of being pg too well.

Burk - James loves going to daycare too. I picked him up yesterday and he didn''t even notice me when I walked in - he was too busy playing with his friendds. Awww...so cute though.

Thanks Ladies :)

sorry for the quick-drive by, but we''re flying to munich tomorrow and its gonna be COLD! and im not used to the cold! its still 80+ here!! actually...its always warm over here :)

any tips on how to pack? or wat to pack or wat i need to be aware off? im worried since im still early in the pregnancy and i REALLY dont want to get sick...(and dont want K to get sick either of course too!)

Jas12: sorry ur still feeling bleh
7.gif
MS sucks..

Puffy: im feeling queasy most days, but it usually happens in the evening...my first doc appointment is tomorrow so looking forward to that! :)

Bobo: sorry u and DH are sick
7.gif

Diva: yay on the progress made so far :)

hi mommies, i''m sorry I''ve been MIA from here the past few days. We just have so many activities going on and I don''t have much computer time at all.

puffy-halloween at Disney sounds fun! glad you all had a good time.

jas12-so sorry about the MS. I had it something awful with Jake so I can relate. I hope it passes soon for you!

tacori-good luck on friday!!! the pics from T''s party were so cute. love the cuppies you made.

qt-how is M doing today?

bobo-so sorry you and your family are sick!

burk-I wouldn''t worry at all about T and p/t. Of course, my girls were a lot older but it was just so easy with both of them. My oldest was just a few months shy of 3 and Lily was fully p/t right before her 3rd b-day. I know you don''t want 2 in diapers but I did it and it really isn''t that bad
1.gif

msb-i would suggest long sleeve tee-shirts and sweaters or fleece pull-overs. How cold will it be? if it''s really, really cold, it''s always good to wear layers and you can take things off it you start getting too warm.

diva-I don''t know if I said it yet but if not, congrats on the move/house!

Bobo~Yea, she pretty much ignores me the second she gets in her room usually, but this was even better than that. The girl LOVES her daycare! Sorry you and your DH aren''t feeling well. Hope you get better soon!

Diva~Glad things are coming together in the house. So fun!! So cute that our little ones love their friends....social butterflies they are!
21.gif

msb~Have a great trip!

It''s been awhile since I''ve asked a random question so here goes--

what do you ladies use to wash your toddler''s hands? C touches all kinds of yucky stuff..and I just use her Aveeno shower soap or dove...anything else that''s good? Dont'' want to dry out her hands. Saw BRU has a baby organic hand soap that''s anti-bacterial and alcohol free but of course it''s like $6.. `

I have been absent from PS for a while due to craziness IRL. I lurk on occasion, but don’t have much time to post. I guess I am ready for this thread now because A turned 1 two weeks ago. I cannot believe a year has gone by! My tiny baby is an active little person now – it’s just crazy. I cannot possibly go through this whole thread, so I am just quickly skimming the last few pages. I am so far behind with PS mommy news. It sounds like there are a few new babies on the way!

Tacori, I didn’t read back far enough to see what contest you entered T in. Is it the Gap Casting Call? I just love the pic of her in your AV. I can just picture her trying to free the ducks, LOL.

Snlee, you are lucky D is such a good sleeper. A is capable of sleeping 10 hours, but lately she has been waking us up for 1 or 2 hours in the middle of every night.

Janine, it’s so funny that C recognizes the pan and wants to eat. Our ped said no nuts until 2 and no honey or shellfish until 18 months. We are just starting to transition A from thick purees to small bites of table food. We can actually give her bites from our plates now at restaurants, which is fun. She loves to feed herself small pieces of vegetables and crackers. We received holiday stockings as a gift for A’s fist X-mas and they are embroidered with our first names.

Burk, congrats on Baby Kade!

36.gif
It’s so cute that T wants to shop for him. It’s too funny that T warns you she is going to poop, but doesn’t want to go to the potty. T is so cute in her hat.

MrsS, LOL re the potty “cave.” The baby changing station outside the port-o-potty is hilarious.

Jas, congrats on baby #2!

36.gif
I hope the MS passes soon. That’s so cute that Co has a girlfriend and that he is shy about it. At what age did he start gymnastics and what do they do there?

Puffy, congrats on baby #2!

36.gif
That’s so cute about B singing and shaking his booty. A can’t sing yet, but the booty wiggles crack me up. Sound like B had great fun at the Magic Kingdom. We are flying first class CA to Boston for X-mas (free upgrade with miles), and I can’t wait to see the horrified looks we’ll get.
23.gif

Lili, glad to hear J is doing well and talking more. A tries to find ways to stay up later too. Love the magazine on the potty.

2.gif

QT, congrats on your baby boy!

36.gif
A always wants to type on my laptop or DH’s keyboard too. We gave her an old wireless keyboard as a decoy, but she didn’t fall for it for more than a few minutes. So sorry to hear M has pneumonia – I hope she is feeling better soon.

TGal, LOL re the “stealth pooper.” I’m going to have to try the waffles and turkey dogs from TJ. I can’t believe your A won’t eat rice. That is a staple for us to thicken veggie purees. Our A loves the chicken and apple sausages from Costco. Cute flower fairy costume!

Jen, Sophie and Marina are so adorable. I had forgotten they were born 1 day after A. They’re all growing so fast. The candid shot of your babes interacting is fabulous.

Ella, that’s cute that your kids are on the Special K diet.

Diva, congrats on the new house!

36.gif

MSB, congrats on your BFP!

36.gif
What a cute way to tell your DH.

Bobo, sorry to hear your family has been sick. Whenever A gets sick at school, she passes it on to DH and I, and we are always sick longer than she is because she won’t let us rest and get well.

Well, I have to admit I am disappointed. I had hoped to see lots of cute Halloween pics on this thread, but I guess most of you don’t post pics here anymore.

QT--
How is M?
Getting better?
How about yourself? I hope you are not coming down w/ something.

Jas12--
Hehe, that''s what we tried to do w/ J to.
I find that she''s more cooperative w/ changing or putting on clothes if I let her choose.
Likewise for food too....though there are many times when she''ll specify for something not on the list
38.gif

Woohoo....on almost done w/ first trimester.
Hopefully your second tri will be a honeymoon trimester.
Any chance we get to see your first tri belly though I''m sure it is flat as can be.

Burk--
That is hilarious that T pushed you out the door.
J hasn''t gotten to that point yet, though she''s not necessarily ready to jump into our arms to take her arm everytime we go pick her up.
So T is in the bigger class now?
Is she one of the younger ones in there?

Bobo--
Oh no....I hope you and hubby get better soon.
Glad to hear that B is doing better though. So any words from the dr about the rashes?

Diva--
36.gif
for more space for James to run around.
Hope he adjust to the new time change soon.

msb--
36.gif
enjoy your trip!

Janine--
We just use normal handsoap on J.
We don''t wash her hands often, only when she touches something really unsanitary.
After seeing all the things that she can gets her hands on at daycare, we learn that a little germs can be good :P

Kay--
35.gif
35.gif
How are you and Alexis?
Can''t believe your little angel is 1 yr old already.
Welcome to the world of table food.
It will sure make going out to eat alot easier.

Haha, you are not the only one disappointed about the lack of pictures on this thread.
Fortunately most of us are on FB and there are plenty of pictures there :)
Come find us.

lili haha, i doubt that i will be back to pre-preggo anything until at least months PP. but i don''t think i''m as concerned this time around as i was with B. it''s funny you mention the feeding brother thing cause he was actually asking what he eats all day and i was explaining it to him. so during lunch, he told me i should have carrot sticks and milk cause it''s good for his little brother. haha. kids i tell you.

jas12 hope the m/s gets better. you poor thing!! Co sounds like he is doing just perfect! choices no longer work for B. when i give him 2 options, and he doesn''t want either of them, he will tell me something along the lines of i don''t want x and y, but can i have z? i admit it is pretty funny.

burk how is T doing? that is just so funny that she LOVES daycare that much! i know there are days when B is super happy to go to my parents'' place but not THAT happy about it. haha. even if she is ready to PT, she''ll do it on her time when she wants to. your attitude about it is great!!

bobo sorry you and your DH are sick. how are you guys feeling? hope you two are better.

msb hope you feel better. hope everything at the doc appt goes well.

mrsS hope the girls, jake, you and your DH are going well. anything new with jake?

janine we just use regular hand soap for B. we did have the kid soap before, but after he saw me using my "grown up soap," he insisted that he uses the same one. he washes his hands all day and if he isn''t washing them, he is sanitizing them. i have a clean freak!!

kay it''s so good to see you on here!! i''m sure you''ll get a few glares in first class, but i''m sure A will surprise them all with her great behavior. how is A? happy belated bday to her!! we had a wonderful time at the happiest place on earth. so much fun that even Dh has agreed that we will be going back at least twice a year!! YAY...i love disneyland!!

haven''t uploaded pics, but will soon, hopefully.

msb700
Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. Did you tell K about his sibling yet?

Diva
Sounds like the majority of the move went smoothly, and there''s not too much more to go.

Janine
It won''t be long before C starts running. They love to surprise us.
So did the teeth break through yet? How many does C have?

Tacori
Good luck with the GRE. Sending lots of test taking dusts.
Boys are already go nuts for T. How cute. She probably thought leave me alone and let me play. LOL.
T''s party looked awesome. Those cuppies were so adorable. Maybe you can come visit next year around M''s b-day. hehe.

Jas12
Yeah that night was a bad night to be in the ER since there were a lot of people coming in from fights at Halloween parties.
Hope your m/s goes away or lessen soon.
I''ve read that offering choices is a good way to get toddlers to do things they don''t like. That way they feel like they made the decision. So I am glad to hear that it works IRL.

lili
I found the potty magazine pic. So hilarious.
So funny that she loves Sizzler. Is it because of the salad bar?
How cute that J says "trick or treat" while walking away.
M is better. Still coughing and has runny nose, but is acting pretty normal.
I am ok, just a sore throat and stuffy nose, but don''t feel icky or anything. DH was sick yesterday, but got some prescriptive med and is feeling much better today.

puffy
B is just the sweetest son ever.
That''s awesome that your DH wants to go ToTing in Disneyland again next year. I wonder if DH will change his mind about Disneyland after going with Meena.
I am sure you are just feeling uncomfortable b/c you are getting closer to the end. I think you get uncomfortable earlier on with the 2nd pregnancy. Well at least that''s how I feel. I feel more cervix pressure more often this time, and I have to stop to sit/rest to relieve the pressure.

Burk
Sounds like everything is going well with you, just super busy.

Bobo
Hope you feel better soon. Glad little B is better though, just wish he didn''t pass it onto you and your DH.

MrsS
M is better today, though her temp went up to 101 in the middle of the day today. She didn''t have a fever yesterday though, so I am not sure what it means, if anything. Thanks for asking.

Kay
Can''t believe Alexis is 1 already.
Yeah everyone kind of stop posting pics of their LOs on here since they are getting older. Ditto lili on finding us on FB. Lots of pics there.

M is feeling better. She is back to her active self, but she is still coughing and has a runny nose. She hasn''t had a fever since Monday morning, but then MIL said her temp was 101 in the afternoon today. So I am not sure what that mean, if anything. Today is day 4 for the antibiotics, so we''ll see how things are after the full 10 days. We did take her in to her pedi yesterday. He thought that she might just have the flu, but it could also be pneumonia with no other symptoms. So he said to just finish the antibiotics. They didn''t check for flu virus at the ER, so he gave us the option to check for flu. We didn''t do it b/c it wouldn''t tell us which strand, so M would still need to get the H1N1 vaccine anyways.

It''s our 4th anniversary tomorrow, and I am thinking about telling DH the sex of the baby. I think it would be a nice anniversary surprise, but I am not sure. I know he wants to know b/c he kept saying that I can tell him if I really want to. What do you ladies think? Should I tell?

QT, i think if he *wants* to know the sex and you want to tell him then it would be a great anni surprise. I think someone posted the idea of a gender cake on here once that i thought was adorable (cut into the cake and reveal the gender based on the inside color--you could pretend it is an anni cake & really make him guess)...maybe you could whip one up (with all the spare time you have right...haha)

found this picture....but you could also just do a cake mix and ice in between the cake with blue and ice the outside just plain vanilla or chocolate.

If we find out the gender, we might do something similar for (just) my sister since she is DYING to know the gender.

hi all!thanks for the hand soap suggestion. I wash C''s hands a lot b/c she likes to put them in her mouth or worse, rub her eyes.

kay: good to see you, stick around this time! C used to be a great sleeper, but is no D that''s for sure! Now she is up 1-2 times a night. Usually i give her a paci and she goes back down. Bad thing is she needs me to stay in the room till she dozes off. I also am not sure how to handle the paci--should I leave it in her mouth or take it out once asleep? I tend to leave it in (but would rather not) b/c when I pop it out she does not sleep for much longer! Urgh, who would have a thought a 4 month old C would sleep better than a 13 month old? How about yoru little one--what is she doing during the 1-2 hrs she''s up? Maybe she''s teething (my excuse for everything).

qtiekiki: i can''t believe you''ve been able to keep the gender secret--I say go for it on your anni! That''s the best gift and I love jas12''s cake idea! Yummy! Happy 4th anniversary btw!
