Hi all,
I am brand new here so my apologies if I commit any forum faux pas here. I am going to NYC next month and staying in the upper west side. I am planning on popping the question while there, and while I am not going to do the actual proposal in a restaurant, having a dinner together that exactly what my girlfriend loves prior to the proposal is very important to me. She loves a very intimate romantic restaurant, much more over something that is supper upscale and stiff. I'm thinking candle lights, something rustic perhaps. We'll be dressed up for the evening so not something casual, but the ambience is far more important than what everyone else will be wearing around us.
She loves pretty much any type of food so that is not a tough criteria. For what it's worth we are going to be eating at Sardi's the night before since we're going to a broadway show. I only mention that as she is the type of girl who would not want to eat the same type of food two nights in row.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance and I'm happy to join your forum.
