I am new here but have been obsessively following the forums for a few
months and this past weekend my FI finally proposed! We met the first
week of law school and Friday at my law school graduation he was on
stage to hood me (you can opt to have alumni put your doctoral hood on
instead of a faculty member) and he got down on one knee and proposed
in front of everyone! Both our families were in on it, so not only were
they all there but they were taping the entire thing! It was crazy but
wonderful to have my friends and family there
. After graduation we
had a reception and people I didn''t even know were pulling me by the
arm over to their family to see the ring. It was kinda surreal.
Ok so I do not know many details about the stone ( I know I''m sorry I
tried but he didn''t remember and the appraisal and cert are in Miami
where he lives) but I do know it is 2.4 ct SI1 eye clean princess in a
white gold setting with micro pave on the prongs and bezel set
diamonds where the prongs meet on the basket. He designed the ring himself so I am very proud of him. Here are some pics
