Prongs outside halo

I am probably explaining this wrong and using the incorrect terminology but I have searched through the tons of "halo" settings threads and cannot find other settings with this prong style/look.

The pics below is from the GOG's setting page. These pics show the prongs set outside the halo. As posted on another thread, I plan to have modifications made to this setting ("bridge" added so a WB will sit flush, modified sqaure head, and more dainty prongs). My hope is that the stone (have yet to select) will sit low so that the prongs are hugging the stone.

I am also attaching a pic of the Tacori 2620. Another setting that I am considering. The pic is of RBsearch's beautiful ring (hope you don’t mind me posting). Using this pic as an example to show the prong placement difference and how low I would like the stone to be set. Any possiblilty that the stone can be set as low as the Tacori so that the halo looks more flush with the stone.

Any pics to share of halos with the prongs outside the halo?

If you go to either of the "show us your halos" threads you will see tons of photos of halos that are prong set. I'll see if I can find it.

yes, i looked at that thread as well as others. in search of settings pics that aren''t prong set or rather outside prong set. what is the correct terminology?

I think that you can request for the halo basket be bigger/deeper so diamond can sit lower and the prongs stay the same position.....am I making any sense?
