I''ve seen a pretty similar 4-prong solitaire setting for princess stones across many sites and in many stores, where each prong cradles the corner of the stone in a "V" or "L" shape (I think this is called "V-prong" but not sure....?). This setting looks nice and seems sturdy but I feel like it blocks a lot of the diamond itself. My friend told me about another setting which uses 4 prongs but each prong is a small "claw" or "hook" over the corners of the stone, and much more of the stone is visible.

Has anybody come across princess prong settings they like, which allow for maximum viewing of the stone?

Thanks!

v prongs protect the corners. they are for a reason...

you may use a regular prong if you like...
