Processing techniques

I've seen some internet diamond brokers who use techniques such as Laser drill and Clarity enhancement. Are these practices used by the trade as a whole and are they reliable, or should one stay away from such diamonds? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

In my opinion, stay away. Just buy a smaller diamond or give somewhere in the quality aspects, but I would not go with a clarity enhanced, or laser drilled.Good luck....------------------

Hi Justin,As far as I know, clarity or color enhanced diamonds have very low resale value. That is why honest dealer should disclose the fact of any enhancement. There is certain market for these products, of course, but then why not consider CZ or moisanite?However it is all very personal and the best would be to see the rock and decide for yourself.
