I got the Pearlmans Whisper ring today! But I still have some questions about the certification ... the EGL certificate looks like this:

Certificate 83834201D
Weight 0.76 ct.
Shape ROUND BRILLIANT
Color F-G
Clarity VS2
Measurements 4.74 - 4.73 x 2.9 mm
Depth 0.0
Table 0.0
Crown N/A
Pavilion N/A
Girdle N/A
Polish N/A
Symmetry N/A
Fluorescence NONE
Culet NONE
Cut Grade
Lot LNR9 1006
Comments LNR9 1006
UGS Appraisal Value $3230.00

Problem is ... the center stone is NOT 0.76 carats. The center stone is actually 0.38 carats and the halo is another 0.38 carats. How could they lump the certification as one? Secondly, there is absolutely no information on cut, or depth, or polish, or symmetry ... nothing on that. Basically I don''t know how good the center stone is for the above reasons.

Thirdly, the appraisal value is *way* more expensive than the ring was ... is this a bogus figure? Should I get this ring recertified by an independent jeweler? Help, thanks!

Unfortunately Bill is still out sick (please pray for his health) so I am counting on you guys to help me out this time.

Sounds like an estimated grade report on a mounted piece...

But they cant set their minds to the color of the Diamonds...
