Princess set diagonally?

I just started looking for an e-ring and stumbled onto this site. Looks like I will have a busy weekend reading through these threads to get a feel for the whole process

One question first: GF wants princess cut, but she wants it set diagonally (sort of like the diamonds in playing cards). Is this possible with normal ring settings or does this have to be custom made? I don''t think I have seen any princess set that way. Is there any reason why that may not be a good idea?

If so it looks like it''s usually called "on-point" and while it is a very unique look it can be and has been done, just not sure how often.

Hi there,

The head will have to be customized for the 12/3/6/9 design unless a peg head can be used. Then that can be rotated for the design...gotta go with a real square pc too!
