Princess Diamond Proportions

I am a newbie here an I am about to buy the following princess cut diamond:

1.02 c , E, SI 1
6,03x5,82x3,83

t: 76%
hi: 5,5%
hp: 58,5%
gi: thin 2% polished
cu: pointed
fin: good

I thinh I understand well size, colour and clarrity but I am not sure about the cut. What do you think of the proportions of this stone ?

Doest it really worth 5 000 € ???

What do all the abbreiviation means? Which lab graded it? Is there an ASET pic that we can see to evaluate the cut as it is a fancy cut? B&M store or online vendor?

http://diamonds.pricescope.com/fnc1.asp use this to judge the cut of the stone, just a rough guide though. If you can't see the stone, then buying and AGS0 graded Princess cut is the simplest way to get a good performing stone.

EDT:
But first impression is it is over-priced. Blue Nile has similiar stones for around USD$5600 as the signature ideal cut.

Hi Ben and welcome,

Which lab report does this diamond have? Also have you seen the diamond in person? It isn't possible to really give any meaningful input on fancy shapes without photos and images such as ASET. I am not familiar with the format you are using to post the proportions of this diamond such as hi ( crown height?) and hp, I can see the table, girdle, culet and finish, but do you also have the depth, polish and symmetry grades? Does it have a HRD report?

t meaning table-size: 76%
hi meaning crown height: 5.5%
hp meaning pavilion depth: 58.5%
gi meaning girdle: 2% thin
cu meaning culet: pointed
fin meaning finish, a combination of polish and symmetry with HRD: good

the stone has a HRD certificate.

Idon''t have any picture but I''ve seen it in person; however i''am very far from being a specialist.

Regarding the abreviation, I believe that:

t = table
hi = crown height
hp = depth
gi = grindle
cu = culet
fin= finish

Hi Ben. I concur with Lorelei. Princess cuts are not like rounds where a measure of performance predictability resides in the numbers...there are too many variables. We could talk about broad tendancies but since you''ve seen the diamond you''re in a better position than we are. Have you been able to compare it to a known performer like an AGS0 princess?

It is a traditional princess-cut, like you can find many. Minimum-crown height and very shallow crown angle in order to get a slightly smaller table. Generally, these princess-cuts do not perform at all.
