Hello so I just purchased a .86 F vvs2 diamond and I have seen many post saying depth should be greater than table %
My question is how bad if bad at all is it that the purchase I just made has table 69% depth 69.2%
Thanks

Do you have photos of the diamond? Never a good idea to order a stone if you haven't seen it either in pictures or in person.

I am not sure about the depth versus table issue, but here are some ideal cut princess stones and they all do seem to have a slightly smaller table than depth:

No unfortunately no photos I did the unthinkable and ordered blind.

What do you think?

Honestly I know nothing about this stuff but if I'm being honest it doesn't jump out at me.
I'll try and find a jeweler locally that can give me more insight in person.

You have it in front of your own eyes. Do you like it?

Strictly proportions wise those are nice proportions for a princess.

However proportions don't translate to beauty in Fancy shapes. There's also no cut grade on a fancy shape. And only depth and table are reported. It tells you nothing about the stone.

But you are seeing it with your own eyes. Do you like it? This will answer your question.

If you wanna take it to someone take it to an independent appraiser. Taking it to another jeweller is not a good idea.
