princess cut side diamonds

My girlfriend is set on a ring with square or princess cut side diamonds rather than round side diamonds, similar to the setting in the image from Pearlman''s Jewelers.

Is the ring in the attached image even princess cut side diamonds...hard to tell?

How common is it to have that over round side diamonds?

Anyone seen other settings similar to that setting, but with a more simple head?

No, it is just round melee. Not very often, I think I have only seen princess cut in channel setting not pave setting.

Those look like round diamonds to me.
