Princess: Cut or Carat size?

So i am looking at getting a solitare Princess cut engagment ring but i have some questions. I know all about CCC, ASET imaging and IdealScopes etc.

Currently i have been talking with Whiteflash about getting a custom setting made along with getting a diamond.

Is it wise to stay in their "ACA" cut diamonds? I know a small amount about Girdle and Table etc.

I am looking for around 3 grand for the diamond and most ACA princess cuts are around .70-.75ct, of course i could get one with less than ideal cut for a bit larger.

My question is whether or not the differences in cut are as noticiable in Princess cuts as in Brilliant cuts? On a brilliant cut its very easy to see the difference in a shitty cut one and an ideal cut diamond, Is a Princess cut going to be the same thing? Or is it best to go with a little bit worse cut and get some size?

personally, I would go for a better cut over bigger carat size. I would rather have something incredibly sparkly and firely than big and flat looking.

yes the cut quality will be very apparent with a princess cut just like with a round brilliant cut. I would DEFINITELY stick with an ideal cut stone.
