Princess cut - need help

Hi,

I've been searching for an engagement ring and have come across a princess cut, G, VVS1, 1.01 carat diamond.

Depth = 70%
Table = 80%
Polish / Symmetry = Very Good / Good

From what I've read the table seems very high, any idea on if this is value or not? Price is $5.5k

Okay so... you can't buy a princess buy the numbers. But yes, 80% is very high.

Do yourself a favor after you read what Gypsy suggested... Go to whiteflash.com and buy one of their incredible ideal cut princesses.

You can never go wrong following Gypsy's advice. Whiteflash ACA's are a great choice - AGS0 stones that you don't have to think much more about other than size/color/clarity - they will all (almost certainly) be stellar performers. Same concept with Brian Gavin Signature diamonds - he is also great to deal with. Another option is contacting Good Old Gold and giving them your budget and asking them to search for an ideal princess for you - they carry the Solesfera line of princess cuts in that size - they have a distinct look that you have to be a fan of, but are gorgeous. I have had great luck with GOG but there is some work involved, i.e., choosing, looking at videos/pics/ASETs etc. With the BGD signature or Whiteflash ACA you can make a quick and easy decision.
