Presenting my beautiful engagement ring! The stone is a GIA certified 1.31 karat, VS2, H, Very good cut diamond, in a modern bezel setting. Total cost: $7,500. I am pleased with the balance of size v. quality of the diamond.
My fiancee purchased the stone and setting from James Allen, and the process was seamless. I had the modern bezel setting picked out for a long time. I love the clean lines and how it really highlights (and protects) the diamond. I was slightly apprehensive after reading reviews about James Allen's settings, but this one turned out absolutely perfectly. It is sleek, modern, and comfortable to wear. It took slightly less than a week from the time my fiancee placed the order for the ring to arrive. He did all of the ordering online, and did not call customer service beforehand, so I can't speak to that. They sent the ring in packaging so no one would know what it held. He was a little worried about the diamond sitting in the mailbox.
We are completely satisfied with the stone I got for the money. I know that he saved a ton by forgoing retail, which makes both of us happy
