princess cut advice

Diamond hunting is all new to me. (I've learned a lot over the past few months, BUT not enough)

I went to look at 2 diamonds yesterday. With so many differt charts out there I can't determine if im getting a good deal. I hope I have enough Info...

set in a platium band W/ 2 pears on each side 40pts, 20X20

Princess 2:

5.31 X 4.97
Debth: 85.7

set in a platium band W/ 2 pears on each side 50pts, 25X25

$5400

Are these diamond any good????

Based on numbers alone #2 looks like it's cut too deep.
