Hi and welcome to PS. First I''d read the tutorials here on CUT. You can pricescope your diamonds up above to see what similar stones are going for. I''m not loving these. Sometimes buying from a family friend isn''t the best way to go. Anyway, HTH and good luck!!!

Not enough info to comment on pricing, though you can play with the price search at the top.

Do you have crown and pavilion angles?

Ditto! Cut paramaters are the most important aspect of what makes a diamond sparkle. None of these stones are well-cut.

Thank you all for the info. I''ll keep looking. What do you guys think about the A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamonds from WF?

They are gorgeous!!! No going wrong with an ACA!!!!

If you decide to go further with the family friend, ask them what kind of certificate comes with each one. AGS and GIA are the most well respected. Also, ask them what year the grading was done -- not all of them have cut grades on them.

thanks, I''ll be sure to ask him about which grading he uses. he''s the owner of the company, which is a whole seller in sf, so he''s not some random guy off the street, but i''ll see him in a couple weeks.

Here''s another question... I saw this setting which I really like... but I didn''t want to go with BN. Have any of you seen this from other jewelers? How much would it run to do something custom like it? MWM i heard is great, but i also heard he''s not the expensive side. Any help would be great.
