I recently purchased a 1.00ct princess cut diamond sitting on a platinum cathedral band. Here are the specs:

Finish Grade: Very Good

What would of been an ideal price for the diamond/ring.

I only can tell about internet prices. Not sure about ideal price

You can find similar GIA graded stone in the internet for about $3,000 (+/- $200).

Platinum cathedral setting cost about $600.

Also it is certified by EGL. Funny thing is that on the certificate the certificate number reads PENDING. Should I be concerned? I have 30 days to return the ring if I am not satisfied. I am getting it appraised at another jewelry store just to make sure that the specs are correct.
