pre-valentines day proposal - pics to come soon (thanks PS and GOG!)

i wasn't feeling the v-day proposal so instead i proposed the day before (can't believe it was a friday the 13th though!) she said yes of course!

I will get some pics up soon next week. all i have now is cell phone pics and they SUCK!

main purpose of the thread is to thank PS and GOG for all the help. Marie at GOG was great and got the prefect setting for us. She can't stop staring at the ring! it even blings in the dark! lol

1.51 ct princess cut, G, VS1, Ex sym, Ex polish, ideal light performance(all the highest rated on brilliant scope!)
the setting was a half eternity azul .32 ctw

had the ring appraised yesterday at a pricescope listed independent appraiser. Gemworld in Glenview, IL (drucker).

They were very nice and took the time to go threw everything. The ring actually appraised for 3,600 more then I paid (including the bank wire discount).

They agreed the middle stone was as listed - G VS1 1.51 with ex cut, etc

They said the side stones looked more like SI1 then the VS2 that was listed on the invoice/gog appraisal but she did say that it is just a matter of opinion and to the naked eye you cannot tell the difference.

1 of the side stones had florescence - 1 of 16 .02ct half-eternity stones. Not a huge deal to us and it is a good identifying mark I suppose!

overall it was a fun experience esp. seeing the GIA inscription on the diamond!

oh also wanted to mention that they were VERY impressed with GOG''s detailed appraisal. they wanted to make a copy of it just because they were impressed. obviously she did not agree with the 22k replacement value and said it was 18.2k (paid 14,6) but like everyone that has seen the ring...agreed it is a STUNNA!
