Longtime lurker finally engaged and coming out of the woodwork:-) Yay!!!!!! if anyone was following TubaSlug''s saga in an older thread I''m now his very VERY happy fiancee and he did a great job having a beautiful ring made adn getting things together in his life so he could propose.

I''ll take pics of my ring next week when I have access to a digital camera, the hand in scanner shots are just not working:-) it''s a beautiful three stone ring with a .91ct natural unheated radiant cut dark royal blue sapphire from the natural sapphire company in the center and about .15 radiant cut traps on each side set on a 1.8mm (I think) flat white gold band. Super pretty and simple:-) They custom made the setting for him and it''s now one of their new stock settings! We''re getting married this October and are now looking for wedding bands.

Has anyone bought from ppluxury on ebay? Are their diamonds sparkly and bright? I have a limited budget ($400) for my wedding band and really want a 1/2 or full eternity 2mm or less french cut pave band. They seem to have one that fits the bill, but if the diamonds are dark and dull in real life then I''d rather just get a plain band or try to cut costs elsewhere to get the James Allen french cut pave band...

Well, what I really want is the Michael B petite crown lace but that''s not going to happen for quite some time

Any advice is most helpful!

Thanks,

Bella

Hi,

Welcome to PS. I just did a search for ppluxury and nothing popped up. Looks like there isn''t anything posted about that seller.

I checked eBay and they do have a 7-day return policy and 100% feedback. Sounds like it could be worth a shot. The most you''d be out is all the shipping costs, if you don''t mind risking loosing that money.

Best of luck.

Hello,

I have purchased an engagement ring for my fiancé on eBay from ppluxury. After I received the ring, I went to my local jeweler to check whether the quality of the diamonds was exactly what I paid for. The jeweler in my neighborhood confirmed that it was. I am very satisfied with their product as well as service. Also, they had the prices that fit my budget.

Good Luck

Patrick

I apologize if I''m wrong, but your post strikes me as suspicious. I suspect you''re a shill.

I''m sorry for being a bit dense, but what is a shill? :-/

Hi Bella Mezzo,

I can''t wait to see your ring, It sounds lovely.

Post lots of picks ok? Sapphires are so elegant!

Th JA frenchcut band sounds realy nice, I''d probably try to get that one.

Feel free to join the Bride World Wide forum too!

Cheers,
HD

welcome to PS and congratulations on getting engaged!!

from your description, it sounds like a gorgeous ring and i can't wait to see the pics!

i haven't bought anything by this seller on eBay, so i can't say what the band will look like IRL, but a french cut band sounds awesome! i adore french french cuts!

anyway, i did a search and the seller does have 100% positive feedback with most comments saying that the item was just as described. i browsed around and the seller's pictures seem to be good quality with good details. although the seller did describe the diamond clarity of one band as "VS (Very Sparkly)", and the color as "G (White)".

not very accurate if you ask me...

however if you really like the band and it's within your budget, i agree with MC about giving it a shot. it isn't like what you'd hoped for, you can always return it.

i'm not sure if this was any help at all, but i wish you the best of luck in your search. again, many congratulations on your engagement!

I believe brightlight responded that way because the "testimonial" came from a new person that only posted that once. So it does seem odd someone who has never posted just registered that day and happened to stumble across your post to say that ebay person is valid. It could be a pure coincidence and someone who has been a lurker all along and be completely valid. Its just something to be weary of. As the other post mentioned, if you dont mind being out the money, if there is good feedback and they have a return policy then it may be worth a shot if you find something specific you like on the site.

Congrats and good luck!

Just out of curiosity, how did you guys find ppluxury on eBay? When I search stores nothing comes up...

Here you go Dinamit - http://shop.ebay.com/ppluxury/m.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A1205&_ipg=&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_pgn=2

Bella_mezzo - also look into Lord of Gem Rings on Ebay - you can upgrade their diamonds and an eternity band could fall in under budget. I''ve been wearing a .68 tcw bezel set wedding band daily, and I didn''t upgrade the diamonds, though I now wish I would have. I didn''t know how nice a ring I was going to get for the price.

Thanks Lauren! That''s bizarre, ppluxury is obviously there and yet when I searched with the correct spelling, nothing ever came up.

Oh, so Lord of Gem Rings is an OK seller? I''ve been looking at their stuff but never took the plunge. Did they actually say that they offer upgrades?

All the best,

D.

Thanks everyone!!!! I''m taking ring pics tomorrow and will post:-) I live in NYC but am in western PA for two days doing kamikaze wedding planning (we''re getting married October 3rd). I don''t know how people do it planning for so long, I think we both might nut up if we were stuck in the planning phase for more than a few weeks. I do events for work, so it''s not too daunting (though between both of our parents the guest list has doubled!!!) but it all seems to be falling into place:-)

I think LOGR is going to make me a band similar to the Michael B petite crown lace, but a little thinner and not quite as tall off the finger. I upgraded the diamonds, it comes in under budget, and I know a lot of people on pricescope love their LOGR rings. I''ll post photos of my e-ring tomorrow and if anyone gets us the digital camera on our registry I''ll post the w-band when it arrives

Thanks again,
Bella

Hi Dinamit - I think as long as you upgrade your diamonds if you''re colour/inclusion sensitive, their quality is very nice. I have about 9 or 10 of their settingsand have never had major problems with them. The quality can be hit or miss in casting, but if you have a good local jeweler, they can polish out the inside of baskets and even miligrain if you''re not happy with it. If you click on my galler/past threads, you''ll see tons of examples of LOGR settings.

Just found this. I have the 3 sided version of this with miligrain, and it''s a pretty ring. With upgraded diamonds it could be sparkly enough for you!

Lauren...I have ordered from that vendor before. That exact ring actually. What I received looked nothing like the ring. They told me they no longer make the ring that I ordered. I was a bit peeved but they did let me return it.

Trying to post ring pics as we speak....look for bella''s blue sparklie:-)
