Hi Ladies! Well after trying on some diamond wedding bands with my legato setting I think I have decided-at least for now-that I like just a plain thin platinum band. The only thing is that most of the bands I''ve tried with it are really round and the legato setting is really round on top but then there is a distinct edge and it is somewhat flat on each side. It''s hard to explain I guess but anyway, I was looking at the Sam''s Club website while bored and came across this one-the Love Always Platinum "Perfect" Wedding Band which they claim matches perfectly with the Love Always Diamond ER. If you look at the wedding band the top is round and the sides are flat and the setting of their ER is very similar to the shape of the legato. What do you all think? Am I crazy and this band is the same as all the rest of the plain bands out there or is there an actual difference? Also, they don''t list the width. I am thinking 2-2.5mm is what I''d like and this looks like it''d be around there.

Here is their Love Always ER...

It definitely looks flat on the sides and curved on the top. That''s silly that they don''t mention the width on their site. Could you maybe call and ask..? Or is there a Sams Club near where you live where you could go look at one in person? In any case, they should probably have a reasonably good return policy in case you order it and end up not liking it, but it looks good to me, so I''d at least give it a try! Good luck!

I think it would look beautiful together. Maybe call them to request a size?

I know how you feel about trying to find a band that matches your ring! Mine is just like yours, 2.3mm with a square side and round top. The twist here is that I'm looking for a band with a curve to sit flush with my ring, and I haven't decided whether I want a plain band or one with some bling. Since this band looks like it fits the bill for you and seems to be priced well, I'd go for it! If you have a Sam's nearby, see if you can try it on. If not, check the return policy at Sam's and order it only if you can return it.

Wow, that looks like it will be an amazing match!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! We do have a Sam''s about 25 miles from here so I''m hoping to get in there tomorrow. I really hope it is something that they carry in the store so I can see how it looks-I''ll let ya''ll know!

Great looking rings. I bet they would look so pretty together!

legatogirl, that looks like a really perfect ring except for one little thing, and this might be just my preference. I always prefer a comfort fit wedding band to a "flattened inside" wedding band. I bought one traditionally made flat on the inside wedding band a very long time ago and that was the last one I ever bought because it used to dig into my finger after a while. The rings we got married in are heavy weight comfort fits and both of us are very comfortable in those. I''ve bought many comfort fits since then. It''s just something to consider since it will be the ring you wear everyday (or at least until you decide on a diamond band to alternate with).

We can help you to find alternates if you''d like. I''m not trying to talk you out of this one. For me, comfort is everything.

Could just all be in the shape of your finger? I wear a 2 mm flat pipe cut band, and the inside is flat as well, and because it''s so incredibly thin, it doesn''t bother me at all. Both my e-ring and w-band are flat inside, and thankfully, for the past 2.5 years, it''s been nice and comfy for me.

If it was a 4-6mm+ ring, I would definitely opt for comfort fit as you did, though!

Gemgirl you make a good point-thanks for the input! Hopefully I''m able to try it on before possibly ordering. I don''t think the flatness would bother me. It''s not something I''d even really thought of before but actually the set that I have worn for the past 11 or so years is flat inside. I wish I could just use my old wedding band b/c it looks pretty good next to the ER (it''s very thin but it''s round on top and flat on the sides-the flow of it against the ER setting just seems better than the dome shapes). But, it''s yellow gold and the new set is platinum-oh well! I think we''re making a Sam''s Club trip tomorrow so we''ll see! Thanks everyone again for all the input!

I think it''s probably because I have Fibromyalgia and anything that''s uncomfortable on my body bothers me. My hands and fingers tend to swell slightly in reaction to over-use (like when I''m cleaning or gardening), weather (summer heat and humidity is very annoying to my hands), of course what I eat, and sometimes for no good reason at all. A few years ago, I went from wearing all of my clothes, shoes and rings in my exact size, to liking everything with just a little leeway, so I''ll be comfortable when I get slightly puffy.

The band I got married in is a 6mm and it''s very heavy.

NICE CHOICE!

Gemgirl I sympathize-my mom has fibromyalgia and goes through all of the same things. Glad you have since found rings that work for you!

Love the look of a platinum band - so elegant and beautiful!

Love the band! It looks like a great match!

You might try giving Sam''s Club a call to see if they have it before you make the trip.

Yeah, you might want to try on that ring before buying it because there''s a lot to be said for comfort fit wbands...That one looks like it''ll stick out on the sides quite a bit..It might not bug you but better to try it on first.

Legatogirl- Did I miss your thread on just your e-ring? Could you post it if you have one? Or possible make one if you don''t?

I''d love to see pictures of your legato with the ACA princess!

Thanks! You have just given me the final "oomph" I needed to actually decide on a new digital camera and make a purchase. Ours is so old that I have yet to be able to get a shot even worth posting. We''ve been mulling over which one to get for weeks but I think when we are out and about tomorrow I''ll tell DH it is time to buy! I will be so excited to finally post my ring!!
BTW I also hope to finally make it to Sams to speak with them about the wedding band tomorrow. We live like 25 miles from there and have yet to make the trip. I have learned more from online though. It looks like it is an online only item which kind of stinks. And, I went through online as if I was purchasing it and oddly enough there isn''t an option for ring size. It says in the description that anything other than a sz 7 will be like 4-6 wks for delivery but on the site there is no place to specify the size you are. So, even if they don''t have the ring, at least I can talk to the associate and ask some questions.
