I love the look of micropave, but don't like how delicate it is to wear. So I got this band which is made of little laser cut wheels of 18k white gold, but from afar sparkles like mad and looks a lot like a thin pave band. I get the delicate, sparkly look I want! (And for much less, and less worry about losing/damaging diamonds)

Some pics:

The new set (my "true" wedding band is my mokume band, but I wanted a more delicate alternative).
The Ering is .9ct and 14k white gold.

That''s a great idea!! Are you concerned about the malleability of the gold? Where did you find it?

Last one :)
(i don't know why, but it's always the slighty fuzzy photos that shows sparkly the best, lol)

Your new band looks great, MTG! It''s awesome that you found an alternative that works best for you! It looks lovely with your e-ring!

I''m not as concerned as if it were real pave, haha. I''m not terribly worried about it no, 18k is fairly durable, they make erings and such out of it, so I figured it was ok.

I bought it in China unfortunately, but you could probably find something similar on ebay or chinatown. It is engraved "Au750" hence 18k gold. It was on sale here for 60$ and I loved how it looked so I bought it!

Really cool! I have a textured white gold band that looks like tiny beads of gold and I love it. (It was my real wedding band since my actual one--which has some pave-- wasn''t here in time for the wedding due to a shipping mishap). I really like the "back-up" band, but yours is even more sparkly and I love it:)

Looks like a pave band! I like how it sits with your e-ring, too. Nice find.
