I have been looking for a nice, delicate setting for 0.75 - 1ct cushion cut diamond.
I love the thin shank look, but also love how tapered shanks can make smaller diamonds just POP and appear larger.I do like both - pave and solitaire, and claw prongs.

If anyone has either of these settings, please post pictures
What do you guys think? Pictures below.

Those are a lot of different settings! Is there any way that you're leaning in particular? I'm partial to the JA common prong since I have it myself (for a sapphire), but without knowing what you want in particular (pave or none, cathedral or no cathedral) it's hard to advise you. All the settings are lovely though.

ETA:

Here is Honey228's thread with her lovely oval in the JA common prong: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/1-52-j-vs1-oval-in-james-allen-common-prong.116557/

And here is mine:

I like em all, just can''t decide which one to choose!:) I like the sparkle of sidestones, and i like classic look of solitaire.
Thanks! all rings look beautiful in this setting:P! I would choose this one right away but I have a little objections about the look of common prongs, I feel like basket would look nicer to my eyes.

LOVE #2, 7, and 14 with the double prong style of 6.

can you match up the numbers with the list in the poll? Or do they just go in order?

I like #6...

well, the right answer is what your girl likes the most.

me, i like simple for the ring, as i'd rather spend most of the $$ on the main event... and then go more ornate with a band (or band on both sides... i forget the proper term). anyway, totally agree on the tapered... and so #8 is killer IMO. with apologies to emeril, i see ringringBAMringring ... i think it's stunning. but, that's just my .02

ETA: also, #6 is very elegant and a close second. if i had to have stones on the band, though, i'd be going with #1 or #13.

LOVE #2, 7, and 14 with the double prong style of 6.
Ditto.

I would incorporate the double prong design from #6 into any one of the followings: #2, #7, and #14. If I had to pick one and only one, I would pick #7. Strange though, as I am a diamond person who prefers diamonds on her rings over a plain band. Somehow, I am drawn to the elegant, clean, and stylish look of setting #7. Someday, I''ll find my 3-4 ct chunky cushion, and I want a "simple" setting that showcases this beauty. Therefore, I picked #7 for your cushion.

I will pick #7 for a cushion and #1 for brilliance (round)...

thank you so much!:) Yes, I do like double prongs but I am afraid that with stone being less than 1ct it will be too overpowering. What do you think?

I like #8 best-it''s one I had thought about when I was looking for a pronged setting for my ring!

Those are all so different, as others have said. My favorites are #6 and 7, and then 9.

Well, I don''t personally care for the prongs of the 3rd photo down. Never have cared for that look.

Other than that, they are all lovely.
