Interested in everyone''s opinion...which princess cut do you prefer?

Specs:

B) 2.30 F Si1, GIA Ex/Ex (bottom in pic)

I personally need a closer up picture to make up my mind

I posted a bunch more detail on these in this post if you''re interested:

I really don''t like all the darkness reflecting back in the 3ct, and I can see the difference in color quite clearly. The fact pattern also isn''t as attractive to me. Just my 2c!

I voted for the 3 ct I color, because I actually prefer the contrast/pattern in that stone. They are both really beautiful, though - I think either would be gorgeous in an engagement ring.

I too voted for the 3 carat I, I love the contrast and patterns. It looks beautiful - great presence and scale on your hand.

Thanks for the comments. I also find the contrast in the 3 ct to be interesting and eye-catching.

My concern with the 3 ct is the I color. I''ve been told it will face up white & look gorgeous and you won''t really be able to tell a difference unless you compare it closely to a higher color stone. Any advice on how much I should/shouldn''t be worried about the color once this stone is mounted?

It''ll probably depend on what type of mounting. If the sides will be mostly covered, you probably won''t have an issue, but if it''s going to be really open, then a 3ct I will show some color on the side I would imagine.

Ditto!

I like the patterning on the 3c better too - plus, it''s so much bigger!!

I can see the colour, but only after I get over the general ''wow'' of the stone..

I like the 3 ct better.

I just watched the videos (missed the links the first time) and I also like the I better after seeing it. The contrast is appealing.

Do they have a good return policy? Have the 3ct sent to an independent appraiser near you and check it out, then you will know if the color bothers you.
