Do you have an AGS or GIA cert number for this diamond so we can learn more about it? We cant really tell if its a good diamond
or not without more information.

Or you could post the table %, depth, crown and pavilion angles and that will help us.

EDIT
I see your Polor bear document has all the info...can you post us the above info off of that?

I have a GS Certificate

Measures 5.64 x 5.6 x 4.1mm
Numer that is laser inscribed (maple leaf)NWT3-109190

Do you know were they laser inscribe the number on?
Is it at the diamond cutting and polishing site or at the store?

You pay a premium to buy a Canadian Polar Bear Diamond certified by the Government, you pay another premium to buy from a B&M store and you pay a premium for a proprietary cut. You didn't list the price you paid but without even comparing it must be higher and a regular Round Brilliant.

Not sure how anyone here is going to comment on whether its a "good deal" that all depends on if you insist on having a Canadian Diamond certified by the Government.

Gemscan may be a little softer than GIA but not out of the ballpark. At best case you could expect the grading to be similar to GIA although I suspect GS it may be one color grade softer than GIA the majority of the time.

Its going to be pretty tough to answer your question, how much did you pay?

Edit: Celebration has 102 Facets and could be princess or round. I think the only way to know if you got a deal on it is to check other stores like Zales and see what the best prices they are willing to sell you a similar one for. Way too many variables for us to price it.

I know I am asking for an estimate, and it is a box store.
I paid around $10K for it but I ran into a few problems.
I viewed the stone loose and thought it was the perfect one of course (newbie)
I picked the setting and was off after paying for it and the matching band, right? Well wrong.

When I looked at the laser inscription I saw the number and the left facing polar bear. (Loose stone)

When I looked at the laser inscription after the stone was in the setting the bear was gone but there was a maple leaf instead.

To make a very long story shorter I raised hell and contact the diamond code and vigialance people and they are all saying it is the same stone.

So I refused it and now Polar Bear Company MR. R.B. Is sending me a new stone (which I do not have yet)

It is the same but a VVS2 spec.

He has also thrown in a set of .6 diamond earings.

I hope everyone has a smile at this mess I have!!!!
