My engagement ring is a square cushion with shared setting diamonds in the band, about 3.5 points each...i want an eternity wedding band and am considering going with slightly bigger diamonds in the wedding band, about 5 points each..i dont love the "matchy matchy" look but not sure if a bigger wedding band will look just out of place next to my e-ring...

please help me out and show me your wedding sets with eternity bands bigger than the diamonds in your e-ring (hopefully this makes sense!!)

I don''t have pics, but I really like that idea. I like 2 (or 4, in my case :)) distinct rings that don''t match completely, but "go together." I feel like it gives each piece a personality of its own! :)

I have a very similar set to the one you are considering.

My engagement ring is a 2.01 ct cushion set in an eternity band with shared prong set 5.5 pointers.
My wedding ring is an eternity band with shared prong set 7.5 pointers.

The difference isn't very noticeable in real life, though. It may not be quite the un-matchy look you're going for.

My wedding band is half a size larger than my e-ring, so it looks wider, too.

ETA: I chose a wedding band with larger stones because I wanted it to look substantial on its own in case I decide to not wear my engagement ring. The 7.5 pointers were the *right* size for me, in that regard.

Here's a picture:
