AGA/NAJA Cut comes out as a 4B
I can't get HCA to work

Although tell us more about this diamond. It's big. Presumably therefore your budget is also big. You can do better. Based on numbers alone. But additionally video, Idealscope and ASET are helpful.

This diamond however is a flat out no from me. As flat as its crown!

What is bad about it? Its confusing, as it's cut is Excellent, then AGA NAJA cut comes back as 4B.
The video I have is too large to upload and I do not have ASET or Idealscope yet

It's 3.5 carat but lower color so I would be saving $$
 
Cut being "excellent" via GIA report isn't sufficient to make it a good performer. GIA excellent includes lots of poorly cut stones. I would 100% not go with this stone. It's not well cut.

If you tell us your budget we can help you find something better!
 
Ps. This is a 60/60 style stone, which is very different from what we normally recommend. There are people here who love 60/60 stones, and those who prefer traditionally "ideal" cuts. I would highly recommend looking at the differences/watching videos to make sure you want a 60/60 style, since the performance will be different than ideal cut stones.
 
How would performance be different?
HCA comes in at 1.2 with everything excellent except the Light perform as Very Good
I am just trying to understand how this will differ from Ideal cut performance.

I wouldn’t say “avoid” for this stone. While it falls outside of the preferred range recommended here, the angles are actually very complimentary. The stone will have a different flavor - it will likely favor scintillation over fire, however, I had a stone with very similar proportions and it still displayed plenty of fire.

I can’t comment if the price is good because the color and clarity are unknown but for $22k, the stone offers a nice spread. I wouldn’t eliminate it just yet.

If you search this forum, there are tons or threads comparing them. The short version is that 60/60 will exhibit more white light and traditionally cut "ideal" will have more colored flashes. But obviously that's the 1 sentence version of a very long and complex discussion.

It's really all about your personal preferences I think good old gold has a video comparing the 2 cut styles if you search YouTube

What is the color? It looks quite yellow in profile.
 
L, with strong blue floures, but it isn't hazey or milky

Ah ok. With a stone this big color will show more, but as long as you are OK with it it could be a bargain.

I bought a WF ACA K which looks very white to me.
 
Yes, I have had a K from Whiteflash and a J from USA Certed
 
The last one is a Cape, the other two are out of my price range.

I have nothing against 60/60 stones to be honest, I know they have a certain appeal (very white bright flashy light, especially beneficial in lower colour stones if you want to disguise that a bit), and there are some out there that are beautiful. I just don't personally like such a flat crown. I think that compromises things. I can't see the video but the crown angle and table and depth all say to me spready stone with a rather flat top. To me personally light performance is the most important thing and that's why I would "avoid" this stone.

Have you seen it in person? Compared it to other stones?

Are you able to get an ASET and Idealscope?
