Hi Everyone,

All of you helped a few years ago when I bought my diamond, and I was wondering if you could help again. Here are the stats for my original diamond:

Here are the stats for the diamond I am thinking of getting/upgrading to:

What do you all think, is it worth it????

THANKS so much for any and all help!!!

I can''t see that you''re gaining much.

You''re gaining on colour, losing on clarity. Probably almost no noticeable difference in cut quality. The cut of the new stone is graded ideal by AGS, but the stone sits right on the cliff-face where tiny differences in proportions can make a huge negative impact on performance. Whether AGS 0 or not, the new stone sits too close to the edge of the cliff for my liking.

Does the I colour trouble you?
If it does, I''d love to hear what troubles you about it - because the vast majority on here favour larger stones in lower colours and they insist that their stones look just as good as higher colours.

I bought my wife an 1.5 carat ideal cut I-SI1 RB and can see the body color about 10% of the time. If I were to upgrade her stone in the future, I think I would stay about G/H in a stone that size if you want to not notice the body color. I color is a great value because the majority of the time it is white.

Yap, looks good.

Great stone, however, size is not going to change. Know one here can tell you if its worth it, only you. I don''t think the general public will be able to tell the difference that you changed the diamond out for a higher color, so for me, I would not trade in just for the sake of color unless you think it is important or a "mind thing" if I was changing for a slightly bigger stone, then maybe it is worth it,

I regularly get a flaming for suggesting that it is possible to see colour in H or lower colours.

So I guess the consensus is to keep my diamond. It''s just that I had a G colored before and really liked the bright white look of it. I love my I color as well, but sometimes I do see the warmth in it. I am worried about the SI2, but Sarah at GOG told me that it is the cleanest SI2 she has ever seen. Thank you everyone for your responses!

If anyone has anything more to add please do so!!
