Please tell me what you think Emerald Cut!!!

Hi, everyone just wanted to get your opinions, I just bought this from Union Diamond and Ill get it tommorrow. Its 1.81 carats G color VS2. Im just concerned it wont be real "sparkley". They said it was an ideal cut. Please tell me what you think thankyou

that is a stunning stone. I love emerald cuts. Step cut stones aren''t as flashy sparkly as round brilliants, they have more of a subtle sparkle and are more elegant and understated.

I believe that when they refer to quality of cut in emerald or asscher cut they are judging symmetry, not light return so much.

Naturally emerald cuts are not sparkly like a round. But is an emerald what she wants? If so, it looks great!

I think a good cut EC is VERY, VERY sparkly. Of course it performs differently but that is not to say less beautifully. My EC is always reflecting light and colors. I think it looks great. I like the l/w ratio. It is classic!

ohhhh, I want it. Mine throws fire from those "crushed ice" cuts at either end, and I get rainbows on the roof and visors of my car when my hand is resting on the steering wheel every day. I get mesmerized at stop lights! With a very good cut, you are in business in the sparkles department, I bet!

Lucky lucky you, that's a spectacular Emerald cut, and it's well over twice as big as mine which is .71 H SI, and a VG cut. You are going to ADORE your precious diamond, no concern necessary! Can't wait to see it on your hand! (or hers, whoever it's for!)

I think it looks gorgeous! I agree that they don''t sparkle as much as a RB, but the sparkle they do give off is just a different kind of sparkle, if that makes any sense.
