Please tell me about my omc diamond

Hi! I am new to coloured diamonds and am usually in the coloured stones section of PS. I have always wanted a warm champagne diamond and I found a little fireball that I love. It is a 0.57 OMC. I was told from the vendour that the stone is much older than the setting (setting is 1930's yellow and wg 9k). The stone has a big inclusion in it which I don't mind because I just see the warm colour and sparkles and it made the ring affordable for me. I love the open culet and the high crown! I am just in love with it. I see fluorescence with my black light that my other diamonds do not show. So what colour is this diamond on the letter scale and is it from the 1800's? The last shot of it is beside my Canadian diamond e ring.

I know this must be from Indian mines and is hand cut. It does look a bit different in different lighting so I am wondering if it is a chameleon diamond? I know some would find this small and unattractive due to the inclusion and the colour but I love it. I am so excited!!!! Thank you for your help in advance!

We really can't tell the colour accurately from your photos. I'd guess it isn't in the Champagne range and is somewhere in the M, N, O, P, Q, R range......

Thank you arkieb1. I think it is my pics. Here is another pic. It had a more golden colour outside. The seller said it was definitely champagne. Do you think it is too light to be called that? I love it whatever it is!

I agree with Arkie on the color; old cuts show more body color due to the chunkier facets.

It's a lovely ring & diamond; so long as you love looking at it and how it looks, enjoy it! I have a champagne old miner (and a few non-champagne old cuts) that I love because their personalities are just so different & unique.

Due to variance in cameras, lighting conditions, and computer/phone monitors and settings it is virtually impossible to give an accurate opinion on color of a diamond.

If it truly matters to you, I would advise getting the opinion of a local gemologist or sending it to a grading lab. But if, as you seem to, you just love the way it looks...that's really what counts.
