Please teach me hyperlink.

Can someone please teach me how to do a hyperlink where you can type in your own words?

Its the last icon on the right just above where you type in your message.
It looks like a green ball with a chain under it.

It will ask you for the text to display then ask for the link.

Leota,

I hope I can make this painless for you to follow:

Step one - Copy the link in which you'd like to hyperlink. It will stay on your clipboard until you paste it in step 2.

Step two - From just above the reply screen (from where you type your post) you will see a row of icons to choose from. Choose the one on the far right that looks like a little globe with some chain links. A little dialog box will pop up and it will ask you to type the text to be shown for the link. That is where you will type the text for which to link to. It can be one word or a phrase. For example see here for the full story on Leota's mom's ring. Next window will be where you will paste your link.

I don't know if there's an easier way to do it, but this is how I got it to work for me. It took me a while to figure it out too.

OK, Leota. I lifted the web address for my earring thread. When the first box comes up, I'll enter a prompt phase, like "Click here for my earring thread." When the second box comes up, I'll paste in the URL and Leonid's magical PS will create a hyperlink.

Here we go!

Okay, I know how to use the hyperlink in the "normal text" mode...




But not in the "rich text" mode. Because in rich text, there are some extra blank boxes that I don't know what goes into what..




But I'll figure it out..

sorry cant help you there.
I dont use internet explorer and rich text doesnt work in mozilla.
