Hi, Amethyste, there''s no thread that gathers all the L''s and below into on place; I was just referring to the individual threads about your ring, and Glitterata''s and oneandahalfrock''s, and my M and Maisie''s M, etc. Maybe it''s time to put all the ''L''s and below'' in one thread, too?

I think these threads showcasing the rings by color are very helpful to newbies who want to know what a well-cut stone of a particular color grade looks like. It''s so hard to tell in the stores, even when comparing side-by-side, what the differences are in color.

For my own selfish reasons, I love these threads because they showcase all different carat sizes and setting styles, so I always get great ideas when I look at them

And what is it anyway, with these G&H people -- I''ve never seen such large rocks in one thread!!! Holy cow, there''s some gorgeous diamonds in this thread! I am green with envy!!

Maybe it''s time for one like this as well!!!!!
All the rings here are gorgeous..... Such beauties.

My center is H color, sides are G/H.

My 1.62 ct G, reflecting some blue from the sky...

RisingSun, I think I''ve said this before, but it can''t hurt to repeat it -- I love your halo. It''s HOF, right? The craftmanship is amazing. (I''ve been looking at a lot of halo pictures lately and noticing every little detail!).

Great thread!! Beautiful diamonds everyone!!!

Yes it is a HOF ring. I looked at a number of halos before choosing this one. The design elements really resonated with me. I think that my DSS has been resolved for now

In the setting...
oooh i LOVE YOUR RING! Do you have any larger photos? (I know you said your computer was shrinking them, but I'd love to see that ring up close!)

These G's and H's are all gorgeous!

Here's my 0.98ct Leo cut. I have never seen any warmth to it :)

Beautiful rings, everyone!

Junebug, your new ring is so lovely and huge-looking on your hand!

Cindygenit -- you lucky lady, to have two diamond rings. The RHR looks great in that sleek plain band.

RisingSun -- LOL - preventing DSS is a worthy goal around here.

AmyJ - your Leo is so blazing white -- do Leos have more facets than a standard RB? From the picture you posted I think I can see more than 8 tiny arrows --some specialty cuts have more facets to give them more pinflash and sparkle.

Here''s a pic of my G Asscher.

I don''t have any pics on my computer now but you can look my post up and see my pics. I have an H SI2

Here are two shots of your beauty, atroop! I love your setting.

thanks for posting my pics..

I''m loving the G''s and H''s...they are all so beautiful. I remember when I got my ring, someone asked me what were the stats. When I told them it was an H SI2 they actually said OH THAT''S NOT GOOD. Can you believe that someone said that? I told them that it was perfect for me and I didn''t need a D IF since that''s not what makes a stone beautiful. She had lots of nerve

Sara, thank you for your nice comment, thought I had a good pic but it looks a little "blah", but I love my new ring and I appreciate your compliment so much.

thanks for the compliment! I am really enjoying my new G-coloured diamond

atroop, I cannot believe someone actually told you that an H SI2 was "not good."

Personally, I think anyone looking at these threads, whether it''s the D thread, this thread or any other, could put color and clarity above cut -- but people do.

I think well-cut diamonds of any color are beautiful! It''s the cut that matters. The rest is preference, IMHO.

thanks...yes she actually told me it wasn''t good..she went on to preach how a diamond should be IF or VVS1 if it''s going to be worth anything. You know I rolled my eyes right? Apparently she needs to find PS and get schooled

Hi sarap333! Thank you :) Yes Leo's a specialty cut... similar to RB but they have 8 extra pavilion facets. When I bought the Leo diamond I did not know about Pricescope, or anything about diamonds. Leo's tend to be cut a bit deeper, so they lose some face-up size unfortunately. They are also more expensive because of the brand name... bummer.

But, I have always liked the look of the skinnier arrows found in the Leo, and I have always thought my diamond looked white and bright! Even with everything I have learned about diamonds and ideal cuts, I wouldn't want to switch to a more "ideal cut" diamond, because my eyes have grown to love what I see! :)

Butterfly - those are both gorgeous!!!!!

I have truly enjoyed this thread, all of the G''s and H''s are beautiful, great idea sarap333!

Amyjokerette----I have always admired your LEO too! It is a very special stone IMO, and I just love the new setting!
