Hi All! I noticed that we have a thread specifically dedicated to Leon Mege's art, and was hoping that those who received custom work from ERD would care to share there lovely pieces; as I am also considering this vendor as well.... I recognize that their styles are very different, and in my search for Mark's work, I noticed I couldn't find one dedicated thread...so if you all could be so kind? Thank you!!
 
I don't have a setting by ERD but hopefully Bliss chimes in. She has my absolute favorite ERD ring. It's such a show stopper. :love:
 
My nephew will have an ERD ring in a few weeks. I will post pics a.s.a.p! I too would like to see other ERD rings/diamonds.
 
great thread idea! I don't have an ering by ERD, but I do have a yellow diamond eternity band that i'd like to share. I have no been able to find eternity bands with colored diamonds on pricescope, so I believe this is the first one ERD made (at least of what's on the forum).

Thanks everyone!! Hopefully we will get more to chime in and share their beauties!!! I have left my FI to his own devices and know that he is corresponding with Perry at Leon Mege, Mark at ERD, and a local jeweler...although I am pushing him towards sourcing the diamond from ERD, as he has a couple of beauties that really offer the best value. I am on pins and needles, as I don't know where he is in the process.... I am so Type A, that while this is an exciting time, I am so nervous that he will know to get exactly what I want ( although the 6 page explanation, inclusive of pictures ought to do the trick- no joke- I really am that bad :naughty: ....I know it sounds a bit "bratty", but hey, I LOVE my jewelry, and this will be the most important piece I will ever wear.

Please keep 'em coming!!

Elise- I LOVE LOVE LOVE your band!! This is exactly what I am looking for, but in white diamonds... I received a quote from Leon, and I am assuming that ERD will likely be able to beat. I am considering a Cushion Center, 2.5+ Carat, flanked by two graduated baguettes (classic 3 stone)... I think this type of band would mesh nicely...

BTW- I know this is a strange thing to say, but I actually like ERD's box...I have heard that "other" vendors often use a cheap black box, with a "made in china" sticker on the back....Its nice to see that ERD is willing to invest in presentation....
 
OK I feel really stupid asking this because I really should know, but what does ERD stand for?
 
ERD stands for "engagement rings direct". Haha don't feel stupid at all!

Yeah i love my band, it's made very nicely and when i created my own thread on it (do a search for ERD yellow diamond eternity band) a lot of people thought it was a leon!! i love leon's work and am also partial to cushions, but his quotes have always been too expensive for our budget. ERD is considerably cheaper and Mark does fantastic work. My band is beautiful and when I went into De Beers, the saleswoman asked me if I had bought it at De Beers! We actually had Mark copy the De Beers yellow match band, which they sell for $2000 on their website. My SO called Mark about the band and he just walked down to De Beers to see it, apparently the De Beers is right next to Mark's office.

I think a white diamond band would look amazing with your ering, baguettes are so classy! the band sits very low on my finger, it's 1.66 mm wide for reference.
 
Elise- would you mind terribly posting a pic of your ER with your band?? so curious to see it now! If I remember correctly, Leon was somewhere in the $12OO-1800 range...is ERD less expensive than this?? I certainly hope so, and imagine he would be, seems like his prices are overall more competitive. I was originally looking at a stone through Perry at Leon Mege, we didn't pull the trigger, as Perry pretty much informed me that the stone was as good as sold...so I gave up, not a few short weeks later, the same stone was in Mark's hands- and $500 less!! I really hope that my FI snatches/snatched this baby up!

Awesome! I hope he does too! I think maybe this is a case of it may be meant to be at $500 less to boot!!

I have tried on Tiffany and Co erings (legacy and novo) wearing the band and both times the band is low enough to fit under the ring, if that helps at all. I know I had a CZ ring around here somewhere so if i find it i'll post a picture haha.

I'm not sure about the price on my ERD band, but it's more expensive then white diamonds because yellow diamonds are considered fancy. I would definitely talk to Mark at ERD for pricing on a white diamond band, because it always depends on how wide you want it, and what your ring size is, etc.

I hope your FI did get that cushion!! Mark's pricing on cushion center stones is definitely very competitive.

Hey Elise! I read on your other thread that your SO are not engaged so I apologize...but on another note, I received confirmation from my FI that he is headed to NYC tomorrow to meet with Mark and check out the goods :)
