Stunning ring and stunning diamond! I remember years ago seeing a really delicate setting and tiny diamond (probably 10 points or something like that) and thinking it was so pretty... I love diamonds like this. Perfect!

i LOVE everyone’s CBIs on this thread! i have to admit, i am 10000000% an old cut lover but something about these stones called to me! this will be my first MRB since joining PS 
anyway, i will be the new proud owner of an amazing 1.26ct K VS1 CBI in a 14k RG ring setting hopefully in a couple weeks i hope it is okay that i post a cell phone pic from the lovely person i have been working wih at HPD .. i am counting down the days

This is so sweet! I am not a huge MRB fan (I love me some big facets), but I really like the idea of owning one, small, excellent example of one. Appreciate the artistry without breaking the bank

Thanks, I am going to have to try this@cflutist I shot the video with my back towards 3 huge bay windows. It was sunny out but the diamond itself was shaded by one of the blinds on a window. This is my absolute favorite lighting environment for diamonds ... I could sit there forever

My .80 H CBI from HPD! I agree that the place where I can see the rainbow arrows the best is with my back to our huge 3-panel picture window in our family room. I’m lying on the couch with the window behind me in this pic.
I will try a video tomorrow! The camera doesn’t show what my eyes actually see. Sometimes I actually see a spectrum of color throughout 2-3 arrows. And then I can rotate my finger slightly to keep the rainbows rolling. It’s so beautiful. Like I said, I can’t wait for the larger sizes in the years to come.

It DOES, lol! There are, of course, certain lighting conditions where it shows the best. I am still learning about mine. I have large wood slat blinds that are open when I took my pictures. The thing about a pic instead of a video is that it doesn’t show the constant movement. Too bad I can’t lounge on my couch all day!! This pic does not do the diamond justice, but again—it’s just a blink. The aquas, the indigo, the CANDY CORN!! That is my fave, when I can get the candy corns to show up (orange/yellow/white little triangles). I am going to have to work on the video!Edit: I know you were talking about @cottoncandy ‘s video, but I just had to jump in and vouch for the phenomenon.

Yes, it really looks like that! It all depends on the lighting environment. It doesn’t throw off rainbows like that when it’s overcast for example. I shot it in 2x with my iPhone, which is like a longer/zoomed lens, which I think is good for capturing fire because the camera had to be further away. Think of a telescope, but not that extreme.
Here’s what it looks like from the opposite direction that I shot the video, with the windows in front of me instead of behind me. No fire. Just reflections of the environment including a white walls/ceiling, cinnamon maple hardwood (similar color to blinds), and the periwinkle robe I was wearing. There’s also more windows to my right but without direct sun.
