Please Show Me Ideas forDiamond Bands to Jazz Up My Setting

Well, as you know I am debating getting a new ring or changing my setting. I love my diamond and I saw some pics and it looks like a chunky cushion from a distance (real life persp) and I think that can be attributed to the setting, the shank is somewhat separate from the stone area.

I was thinking of getting a new setting (cushion halo) for my anniv. The halo was 11mm and can fit a cushion from like .90 to 1.20.
I ordered it and then cancelled it because I thought a 1carat cushion looked small in person (for my finger). The diamond would be in prongs, not bezel set.

Anyway, I was thinking of a diamond band or something for my ring. I found an enhancer, I will post pics soon.

wondering if halo would detract from center stone (?) or what kind of band would go perfectly with it. this plain band is 2.5mm

Has the thought crossed your mind to have a plain shank e-ring maybe with a halo(or not) and a diamond band? It still seems like you are unhappy with your setting and still thinking of changing it? The thread where you had everyone show you halo's I think would be pretty if it was like them, some halos (in my opinion) hide diamonds.

Just a thought.

OMG it's funny u said that - i love a setting (but it's for a princess) and band by Gabriel - it's plain shank and a round brilliant band. But I am like so unsure. I wish I felt settled.

Can the setting by Gabriel be made for your diamond type,would love to see it do you have a picture or link? Or how about getting a princess diamond, since you've been thinking of a new diamond? You wouldn't believe it if I told you I'm probably not keeping the ring I have, the one I just picked up. Only because of money...anyways my point is when I go and look at rings it seems like I gravitate towards towards basic plain e-rings and pretty bands. They seem to make your diamond stick out so pretty and if you are lucky you can maybe find a ring with the head with a little bling or something to add to it. For me when I look at my ring on my hand I always see the side view of the diamond and usually with it being plain that is what is making keep looking for something else.

Keep on posting what you do and don't like and maybe like me we will figure out what we want.

Parade has some beautiful bands... I had an opportunity to try them on at a jewelry store in Charlotte... very pretty...
