@Lookinagain Took these for you now, the black squirrel! (Since I know you said you don't see black squirrels, where you are.)20250417_102529~2.jpg20250417_102547.jpg

Oh boy, here he is now being acrobatic for you, on the bird feeder :lol-2: I get so annoyed when they hang like this and take over lol20250417_103131.jpg

Thank you for these photos. They really are very striking being so black. But I guess all squirrels act alike since the gray ones here spend a lot of time trying to break into my feeders. The little red squirrels are actually small enough to get inside the caged feeder that I have and they sit in there and eat all the bird food!

Yea it does sound like they act the same ha!! It can be a lot at times. Wow it's crazy that the little ones squeeze themselves into the caged feeder.

Love this one's stripes, they've been visiting a lot20250422_085924~2.jpg
I only see Red-Winged Black birds once in a great while. Had one at the feeder a few weeks ago but wasn't quick enough with the camera. Lucky you. I wish I saw them more often.

I was surprised too, especially yesterday when I saw about 4 of them at once!!

I need advice about the baby bunnies!!! :( Will explain below

So I took that pic last night (Tuesday) from in my kitchen, of the mother rabbit. And I'm not sure of she's been back (to feed her babies). Over the weekend, my mom accidentally picked up that little pot in the planter, and that's how we discovered the babies.. hidden (mostly), in their nest and dirt. We quickly put the pot back gently, and have stayed away. But now I'm worried, it's getting cold out again here, and have not seen the mother rabbit.
I read the mom will usually visit once or twice a day, but other than that, stays away.
Should I just continue to leave them alone.... :(

The mom is back!!! I have all our lights inside dimmed, blinds down, and I'm telling the kids to keep it down (like it matters, while we are indoors):lol-2:

The red squirrels are out again. Here is a photo of him crawling into the feeder.

And just another shot of him (or her)

Oh wow!!! The little rascal! Those are fantastic shots.

So imagine my surprise this morning when I look in the kitchen sink, the side with the garbage disposal, and see a "thing" sitting in the stopper of the garbage disposal. When I lifted out the stopper, this is what the "thing" turned out to be. I carefully carried the stopper outside and put him in a flower pot. I was so afraid he's jump and get lost in the house and the dog would go crazy. Seems he is a Gray Treefrog, from what I can figure out. He was in the pot for a while, but seems to be gone now.

HI:

A guy at the mall had his Velveteen rabbit with him. I died of cuteness overload. Big bunny and oh SO SOFT!!!!! And very friendly.

cheers--Sharon

My DH and I love watching the squirrels. They had quite a display today--chasing off birds---even the little squirrels! They have an established route and we LOL at their scampering--they are very confident!!!

cheers--Sharon

They're funny.. and entertaining to watch :D This morning my DH was motioning through the window, trying to scare the squirrels from the feeder.. I told him not to bother haha!

Our little bunnies have left the nest! All 4 of them. I'm relieved, I couldn't help but keep an eye on them (and the mom, when she would visit), with our patio cam!!! I managed to sneak a very quick pic, a day or two before they left. This was when they came to the surface, (the nest was more hidden.)20250424_092818.jpg

My plumeria tree is blooming. Last year I had about 10 of these seed pods, a few are still hanging out.
