I think spiders are fascinating, even the black widow with her future babies!

I didn’t even notice until I looked at the photos (I tend to take a bunch and then just sort through them later). S/he was definitely looking straight at us!

They are fascinating creatures! It was my first time seeing one in real life…this one was pretty huge!

This comes from an article in The Atlantic "Winners of the 2022 Natural Landscape Photography Awards". While there were many stunning photos, I especially liked this one as it looks as though alien creatures are trudging determinedly through the snow.
