I was in Grenada last week. So beautiful.

Moving back to chillier times here are a couple of photos I took in Alaska. We were on a small ship photography cruise. The nice thing about it was the captain could linger in areas a bit longer when there was interesting wildlife around.We would hear the engines stop-sometimes at 3 or 4 in the morning and would all rush to the deck with cameras in hand to see why we'd stopped-lol. I rented a long lens for the trip (300-600mm), but even with it we were a good distance from the bears and mountain goats in the photos and I had to crop a good bit. Hence the fuzzy photos. but the bears seemed to "pose" so cutely for the photo I couldn't resist including it. The Mountain goat was part of a larger group, but he went bonkers dancing and leaping in circles so I've included it for giggles.

I felt like crap but made a promise to the dog we would go to the beach for a little while...lol she's so spoiled. Anyway this is just my phone which isn't the best but still a relaxing image.

We finally had a couple of sunny days that coincided with me being able to get outside with my camera!

First up - Mallard Ducks!
Like everyone else on a sunny day, they head to the beach!
Well, not a 'beach' exactly.
The river's edge ... snow-covered. But we'll take what we can get until warmer weather arrives.

A Dark-eyed Junco who decided to bless me with an unobstructed view and remained still for a second.

The male Cardinals were also in a mood to be photographed!

Last one for now before I have to run out the door.

A lovely Robin.
I always associated Robins with Spring.
However, when I first got my camera - in the Winter - I spotted a Robin and learned that some Robins will stay in the area during Winters if there is sufficient food sources.

This particular shot is from earlier this week when about a dozen Robins appeared to dine on some berries. It was a wonderful sight and triggered thoughts of Spring!
