Please rate these 0.35 JA I1 clarity diamonds

Hi,

I just purchased the following diamond earrings from James Allen. They look pretty clean for I1 clarity; I don't see any black inclusions but the feathers on the 0.34 diamond are quite noticible at 20x magnification. Are they eye clean? Did I make the right call?

Only you can look at them and see if they are eyeclean. Both have a primary inclusion of a feather which I assume you know is a crack. I would not be comfortable with that, but if you like them, that's all that matters!

Yes, I do realize that the feathers are cracks, however since these are earrings and are not subject to the same stresses as a ring, I do feel comfortable with it. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the .36 does seem like a very good find. The .34 I'm not as convinced about, but we will see when they arrive.

For reference, the .34 was about $495 and the .36 was about $519. I chose the 18K gold 4 prong setting.

The .36 is a dream I1...nice find!
The .34 is a pretty standard I1 - you might be able to just see it because you'll know where it is - but it's light in colour, so if you're not looking hard for it, it will probably get lost in the stone - - - 20x magnification makes it quite obvious here...but seeing as no one is going to be sticking their face up to your ears for a close look..no one else is likely to see it either.
