Please, need help about a round diamond..

Have you seen this diamond in person, or just looking online sight unseen?

If buying off the numbers alone and looking for an ideal cut, the stone is a bit steep on the pavilion angle and pav depth. Coupled with a 59% table, you'll likely get much advise suggesting to keep looking.

If you were willing to drop the colour and clarity a notch or two you could likely afford to really step up and get a precision cut stone.

No, i haven't seen the diamond yet, but i can if it's a good one. Still, even if i saw it in person, i wouldn't tell if it's worth buying.

44% bottom half is not a good sign.

Hello everyone, i need help with a diamond. I don't have any experience about diamonds and can't decide if a specific one is indeed a good rock or not.

You will find, on PriceScope, that the prevailing opinion will likely be: A D color, while fantastic, is not really needed. You can find cut-measurements which will allow you to afford an increased carat size that will have a better appearance if you are willing to move in the direction of a G/H color and focus on cut quality. Why would I say that?

There are a number of reasons people may encourage that for you - but you have to decide for yourself.

The variables that are set by nature are Color and Clarity - those are a constant. Man-made portions, carat and cut, are variables. Many on this forum will advise you to find the diamonds where man has maximized the cut in order to enhance the appearance of the diamond.

When you find items in those article for which you desire clarification, return to this forum and ask - there are a lot of people willing to help. Best Wishes!
