Please look at this Asset report for a RB from ERD

As I mentioned in my post from yesterday I decided to also look at ERD's diamond inventory for my mom and had him pull a 1.13 J SI1 xxx RB that scored under 2 on HCA (he's going to send me the GIA copy as I don't remember the specs). I believe it is around $4800


After looking at the stone here is what Mark said
" have the diamond here and its worthy of the excellent cut. It has a great amount of brilliance and scintillation . The inclusion is a crystal off the side of the table and it is 100% eye clean.

Because of the proper brilliance of the diamond the J color does not interfere with the color and it is hard to see any hints of yellow from the top of the diamond."
Here is the Asset - what are your thoughts? Pretty diamond? how's the price? Thank you

White crystal then, since it's not over the mains faceup.

Cut is fine. In this size a J is not going to look obviously yellowy or tinted to anyone else but to you, the wearer who is now aware that diamonds come in different shades of white, the tint will likely be visible from the side if you set it in white metal, or if you compare it to higher coloured stones.

Big ditto - go to Jared or a HoF dealer and look at some stones IRL, that's the only way to find out how you feel.

She would be absolutely fine with a J, i just wanted to make sure that based on the image there isn't too much leakage. Thanks for your feedback

Just wanted to add the GIA report - Its 1.7 on HCA, excellent for fire and scintillation and very good for spread and light return. any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
