I''m very close to buying this diamond. Please comment on it''s SARIN REPORT and IDEAL SCOPE IMAGE:

Here is the IDEAL SCOPE:

Here is the 40x image from WhiteFlash. Just to let you know, it is 1.05 ct, H color, SI2 clarity.

It seems like there are two inclusion visible with the 40x image, though it is described as eye clean.

Just using the GIA report, this diamond passed the HCA with flying colors getting all excellents except a VG for spread and a scor of 0.9. But using the SARIN, it only got excellent for light, VG for ecerything else with a score of 1.5. I believe the difference is that the GIA report stated the pavilion angle was 40.8 but the SARIN states it as 41.0. Still it seems pretty good.

So how does it all look? Is that a good ideal scope???

Here is the IDEAL SCOPE:

It''s not perfectly symmetrical, but I don''t know how that would affect performance. It doesn'' t look there ''s any light leakage though, so that''s good! Perhaps some experts here will tell you what they think.

have seen better from WF. is this a stone that they call in for you?

Ya, it is an outside diamond. I can''t afford A cut above. I figured the numbers were good and the price was decent.

Creamy, what matters to you most? Answer to yourself honestly

Cost, size, perfect cut, color, clarity? If this stone hits all the right points for you, it just might be for you! I do think you could find a stone with a little better cut though for a similar price. But how much time do you have before you''ve got to have the stone? You might want to take a look at this stone, perhaps compare it with others. What''s your price budget? Perhaps we could help in the search!

I''m looking for close to 1 carat, g-h color, si1-si2 clarity and ideal cut (because that is most important for how the diamond looks). Looking at the numbers and putting it through HCA this appears to be a good diamond. The ideal scope seems a little off to me though. This diamond is listed at 3999 which is at the top of my budget for the diamond.

The problem I foresee is that it will take much too long to get ideal scopes, sarins, magnified images, etc for every diamond I come across that has good "numbers." My plan was to propose at the end of may while on vacation. I''m kinda running out of time.

Obviously I want the diamond to look great and get the best deal for my hard earned money. I though this diamond looked great on paper, but you guys seem to think otherwise, so now I am worried!

I''m still confused as to what makes this a not so good diamond. What makes the proportion grade 3? All the other numbers look good, although the range on the pavilion seems off? What could be responsible for this not being great?

It will be a great looking diamond.

I would challenge anyone to pick a diferent stone over it in a line up

That''s good to hear! What I think I need is to see it in person. I have 10 days to look it over so it can''t hurt. But I''m glad to hear that it might actually be pretty good. Thanks to everyone for their input so far...keep it coming!

It has minimal leakage (the white in the idealscope), there is a tiny bit extra obcuration in the center and a couple of the arrows are very slightly crooked at the top. Easy for a nit pick or two under all the scopes, but virtually impossible to see with the eye even by a highly trained eye. This will be a very beautiful diasmond and well worthy of your taking a look at it.

When your eyes see this stone they will be very happy.

Thanks for you input wink! It is definitely worth a look.

Hi Creamy, I wasn''t trying to tell you that it wouldn''t be a good diamond. Sorry if it sounded like that! I think it will look beautiful and sparkle like crazy. Now if you''ve got to propose by the end of the month, get crackin''!
