The stone looks good but I am an amateur. Please let me know if this is a nice stone and a good deal.

Thank you,

Next is the proposal. Knots are turning in my stomach already.

Psrome, not bad

HCA rating should be Very Good.

Did you get it from the web or local store?

Good luck with proposal!

Thank you,

I got the diamond from a local wholesaler. I just couldn't bring myself to buy off the "net". I am the type of person that needs to see a stone before I buy it. It has been a long process. This is my first of ,hopefully, many pieces of jewelry.

You could save a few $$ buying via the net but for B&M it doesn't sound bad.

Hope the cut is ok.

What does B&M stand for? The cut seems to be all right. The stats. are listed above.

B&M: Bricks and mortar store, as opposed to buying off the internet.

I think your stone has an HCA of 3.2, i.e. "very good - worth buying if the price is right".
Light Return: Very Good
Fire: Good
Scintillation: Good
Spread or diameter for weight: Very Good

sorry to say, but i do not care for the selection. to start the dimensions seem off unless you messed up while typing and the HCA has this as marginally attractive.

i would search for other possibilities...

The price is on target for a non-ideal cut diamond such as this with an AGS cert.

The HCA gives it "good" and "very good" for light return, which is not shabby. If you thought it looked good, then it might have a special something that plugging numbers into a calculator couldn't capture. I think you did a fine job. You certainly didn't get taken to the cleaners, so relax and enjoy your stone! I'm sure she'll be knocked off her feet!
