please help with this Tiffany? ruby and diamond ring

i've made an offer and it was accepted for http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171015445030&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:AU:1123 and i need to know if this is indeed tiffany before i pay. the mark t&c seems odd to me, but i really have no idea if it is tiffany or not. i do have some vintage tiffany and markings are T&Co, so i would really appreciate if there are any experts here. thank in advance!
btw - i tried to do some researach and found this link http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=87452 does not really tell me for sure if was tiffany, just another occurrence of t&c marking i guess?

I am no expert on jewelry or Tiffany pieces but the workmanship does not look Tiffany quality. The v prongs look very uneven although it could just be the photo.

I can't help with the markings, but I can tell you that the quality of the ring is poor. It looks like a department store for Zales type ring. I would not buy it.

I would say it definitely doesn't look like a Tiffany quality piece, and those markings definitely seem strange to me. Google "purse forum jewelry box" and post in the authenticity threads there...ladies there are much more familiar with branded items.

Also, according to the link you posted, further down some people chime in saying that Tiffany abbreviates to T&Co. not T&C so it is likely made by another jeweler, not Tiffany's.

That doesn't look legit to me either. And unfortunately since you've got an offer already accepted you might actually be on the hook to pay anyway.

If they represented in their offering that it is Tiffany but it's not, you're not going to be contractually bound to pay for it.

thank you all for your input! i did post it as well in the purse forum, but since there is only 1 authenticator for tiffany and sometimes she is away, i double posted here. i did have some luck here with tiffany horseshoe before when she was away and a lady here helped me! so the ring is not tiffany as confirmed here and the purseforum and i did some more research, there was a t&c jewellery manufacturing company, so probably one of their rings.http://www.trademarkia.com/tc-74150652.html
either way, i dont only buy on ebay -i also sell and i know it is the sellers responsibility to ensure they only list authentic items. so i did make an offer on a tiffany ring and will pay for it if its tiffany, otherwise i am not obliged to. and even if i do and paypal it - when i raise paypal claim, the seller will loose the ring (as i have to destroy it and cannot post it back) and also will pay me all costs including my shipping. so i am going to email the seller now and let them know to cancel the sale and i hope he does not relist it again as tiffany. thank all for your help, u r terrific with your quality observations, which i was not.
