I am *SO* indecisive on everything it's painful, I'm always worried about making the wrong decision and being stuck with it (see current situation lol). I'm daydreaming about what I want to buy after I hopefully sell my marquise, but I literally can't make up my mind about what shape. I've narrowed it down to elongated crushed ice pear, elongated crushed ice cushion, or a round h&a/brilliant, all around the 2-2.5 carat size. Only the first one is a lgd but I hope this post will be allowed as I'm planning on what lab grown diamond to purchase next. Please help me figure this out so I can move my daydreaming into settings! No wrong choices, I'd love to hear the arguments for/against any of these shapes.

I'd be looking for something skinnier. This is about 9.57x6.46 and I'd want something closer to 11.5 mm long and a 1.5ish ratio.

Pros of the pear: Big face up size/finger coverage. I like the elongated shape and the way it looks on my hands.

Cons: Pointy tip is kind of delicate-I'm hard on my hands and a little worried about damage. Maybe trendy. Can't picture an eternity band that would go well with it, not sure if a round band would look good.

10x7.5 elongated radiant-pretend it's a cushion, the ones on the sticker sheet were too square.

Pros: Looks good on my hands, not too trendy.

Cons: Probably can't afford the face up size I want (9.5-10mm long)

8 mm round brilliant

Pros: Classic, goes with every band. Nice finger coverage, fits my lifestyle. My coworker has a round brilliant and it catches my eye every day.

Cons: Worried I won't like the broad flashes from it instead of the shimmery crushed ice style. This was a moissanite that I haven't had in over a year and I wish I still had it so I could try it on.

i dont beleave you are hard on your hands when you have such beautiful nails

Thank you! All praise goes to the acrylics, I'd be lost without them. I managed to break a nailbed a few weeks ago and that was so painful.

You have very pretty hands, so all the shapes look good on you.

I personally like the elongated cushion/radiant shape on you best, but I really don't think you can go wrong either way, especially if you find a diamond that you love. I would try on several of the different shapes before deciding.

I'm not personally a fan of MRB but I see you like your glam nails (very cool!) so to be honest, I think a round will compliment your overall look best.

I vote for the round.. I think it would stand the test of time

I LOVE emerald cut. I LOVE round brilliant. I LOVE (the most) old miner's cut. Consider budget too I guess, but your hands are stunning and you will wear anything beautifully. (Pear is my least fave of the three).

It was a toss up for me. They’re all beautiful but I love the round and the elongated cushion the best.

It's been super helpful to see everyone's comments! Putting this post up helped me sort through the jumble of my thoughts. I really love the idea of a solitaire and an eternity band combo and can't picture the cushion or pear with an eternity band. I definitely want a solitaire and eternity stack for day to day wear so I think I'm going to get a nice beautiful round solitaire when I get the funds together and eventually pair it with an emerald cut band. Hopefully down the road I'll get a chance to add a elongated cushion to my rotation!
