Hello all,

I have short listed a few stones (not all have ideal scope pictures) and can't decide which one I should go for.
I would appreciate any feedback on any of the three stones I have shortlisted.
Thanks

Eliminate stone two.

Stone One looked good and is VS1. The image isn't an idealscope, though, it's a hearts and arrows image.

Three has potential, but see if you can get an idealscope ore ASET image on stone three (and stone one).

VS1 I'd going to be eye-clean. SI1 will probably be eye clean, but you can ask for a gemologist to review it for anything that may affect light return.

thanks for the reply. could you please elaborate on why stone 2 should be eliminated. i did speak to the jeweller about stone 1 vs 2 and he said they perform virtually the same and actually recommended the cheaper stone. stone 2 actually comes with additional warranty and return policy too so worst case scenario i can rerurn it and swap it to a different stone.
i did notice some light leaks under the table and asked about it but he says it's a problem with how the image was taken and not actually there?
stone 2 also has medium blue fluorescence but he assured that it's not hazy or cloudy. he did confirm that stone 2 is eye clean also.

They are all outside of the ideal proportions that PS recommends:
Table: 54-58
Depth: 60-62
Crown angle: 34-35
Pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9

From the options hay you have, definitely #1 is the most promising, but due to the shallower crown angle, it will most likely demonstrate more brilliance (white sparkle) vs fire (rainbow flashes) and would not be something that I would pick.
The second one is a no in my opinion, it has a steeper pavilion angle and some slight light leakage is visible under the table. The third one is a 60/60 stone. Many don't find the large table as appealing and again it has a shallower crown angle.

I would pick one of these instead, currently they have a 10% off promotion as well. All super-ideal cuts:

Maybe even this one of eye-clean:http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...ls/1.214-g-si2-round-diamond-ags-104094526041
This one is much larger than your current options.

Since #1 and #3 don't have the IS images, I will only talk about #2, in which you seem to have the most interest.

The price seems good from a B&M in AUS.
While the proportion numbers are not the most ideal, they are still recent.
I may agree with your jeweller that it is beautiful. But I disagree with the jeweller's explanation in regards to the light leakage and how the IS is taken. The leakage is there. The image was taken just fine. Will it be visible and bother the viewing experience? That is a different question.
What is the upgrade, return, warranty policy that is different between #2 and #1/#3? Assuming the stone is eye-clean and not hazy as per the jeweller, this will be the deciding factor for me.

thank you both for the detailed reply.
stone #2 has 30 day money back guarantee which means i am free to return it and ask for money back or request a different stone to be set. #1 is from the same jeweller (jogia) while #3 is from another jeweller. I guess my tendency to go with #2 was due to the return policy but if the proportions are really bad i should rethink my selection.
#2 also had Jogia's cut report which analyses light intensity, brightness, fire and scintillation, which i can't seem to access now as the stone has now been removed due to being sold but light intensity was at 95.6%, and all other three measurements were pretty much at the maximum on the scale (higher than other diamonds that cost 13-15k).
I still have the chance to change the stone if i wish without any issues. should i give stone #2 a chance or is it so bad that it doesn't even warrant a look?

thanks. feeling extremely overwhelmed here!

I am sorry, still a no for me. That is a lot of money for a mediocre stone...
