Please help with a cushion diamond.

Hello PSs,

I am looking for a cushion diamond for my engagement ring but am quite a newbie at cushion.

Could you please help me with selecting a cushion diamond?

Here is my budget and preferences.

Budget < 13 k
Carat 1.5 ~ 1.8 ct
Color F or G
Clarity VS1 or VS2 (eyeclean)
H:W ratio < 1.05 (She wants to have elongated one.)

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think the feather near bottom in the 1.82 ct GSI1 is noticeable?

I've talked to JA to ask for ASET, they cannot provide ASET because the diamonds are not in NY.
Is it safe to pull a trigger without looking at ASET?

Those are pretty safe stones without an ASET.

BUT I would require a gemologist examine at SI1 for eyecleaniness and safety. I can't make any guesses based on the video. Would I take a chance on it, though, if I had to? Probably. It's a nice stone, and a great size and that inclusion is such a light gray it may not be visible.

Still if JA would just step up and have their gemologist examine it that would be best. Blue Nile will even do that for gods sake (can you tell I am frustrated with JA?)

Hi Gypsy,

JA were not able to examine the stones because they were not in NY. I decided not to try my luck.

I contacted Mark from ERD and he found one stone for me (For me, it looks great). He was awesome. I really like the stone. I wanna hear your advice before pulling the trigger.
